let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24).
Gathering Prayer: Dear God, as we gather to worship, remind us of the privileges we enjoy
as Your people; to come to You in these moments, to confess our sins, to receive
forgiveness and give it, to pray and sing and listen, to renew our fainting spirits, to rest in
all Your promises. Visit us through Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
You are invited to join us for coffee, snacks and fellowship following the service.
There are worship bags for your preschool children to enjoy, found next to the elevator in the back
of the sanctuary. Please return them to the hooks after the service.
A nursery is provided for your smaller children during the worship service.
Please ask the usher or greeters if you have any questions.

 World Renew: Kenya - Thank God for an innovative program that has empowered small
farmers in Mt. Kenya to speak up to local leaders about imbalanced practices. Many
farmers were struggling to feed their families because brokers were purchasing the
leadership for the Chinese ministry team. Rev. Jimmy Lin will be retiring in July after
serving 25 years as Chinese team leader.

 Chaplaincy and Care Ministry: Hospice chaplains - Because of our aging society, a
growing number of chaplains are employed by hospice providers.
This work is
challenging in that recovery is not an expected outcome for the individuals and
families served, so anticipatory grief and adjustment to reducing capacities are everpresent realities. Still, this is a rich field for ministry, because often the only things in
mind are questions about God and eternity and concerns for those left behind. Please
lift us out of those ruts.

We then were challenged to incorporate the psalms into our prayer routines.
-
We practiced this by using Psalm 1 as a prayer guide as we prayed for specific
individuals and needs in our congregation.

We spent some time discussing ‘vision’ and God’s will for our ministry context.

Dave gave us an update on the elder and deacon nominations. As of now we have
