M. Lewis Pollard 1112 East Rome Blvd. North Las Vegas, NV 89086 702-277-3011 lewpoll@gmail.com FA MILY I was born February 9, 1976 and married Erin January 1, 2000. My wife has a Master’s degree in Religion from Liberty University and currently teaches middle school. She serves the church however she feels led by God. We have six children: Isaac, Karis, Elijah, Ellee, Samuel, and Korbyn. LIFE MIS SION Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and along with my wife, I desire to be an encouragement and a catalyst in the lives of others to spur them on for Christ. My desire is to show the love of Christ in all I do by biblical teaching, preaching, making disciples, building relationships, and serving people. I enjoy the difficult tasks of home and hospital visits, and I see that as a gift to be able to serve people in some of their most difficult times. PH IL OS OPH Y OF MINISTRY My philosophy of ministry is developed out of three relationships that God intends for His children. Every maturing believer in Christ needs to be growing in these three relationships: 1) Our relationship with God through faith and worship 2) Our relationship with fellow believers through love, edification, and accountability 3) Our relationship with unbelievers by sharing the Gospel message through words and actions so that they would become disciples of Christ. EDU CATIO N Master of Sacred Theology Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA 2012 Master of Divinity Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA 2009 Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, 2005-2008 Bachelor of Arts in Theology Baptist College of Florida, Graceville, FL, 2005 EXPERIENCE Lead Teaching Pastor, North Valley Fellowship, Las Vegas, NV — 6/2014- 2/2015 This was a step of faith and although it was a short time serving there, God used me to pour into the lives of several people. I preached and encouraged the church to have a love for His Word. I began discipling three men on a weekly basis. Pastor, Wakulla Springs Baptist Church, Crawfordville, FL — 2008-2014 While I was serving there, I was able to be a part of some great ministries. I was blessed to baptize many new believers and encourage others to grow and mature in their relationship with God. We were able to start a garden on our church property where food went to feed the local people that were without. We served the special needs students every year with a Prom. This was such a special time each year to love and encourage these families. I was able to pour into a group of men as leaders in the church. We started a worship service at a hunting camp in the woods to reach the local hunters. We also started a service at an RV park to reach those who were unable to drive to the church building. We were also a part of launching a new church plant with members from our church. Pastor, Faith Temple Baptist Church, Irving, TX — 2005-2008 This was a very interesting time of service since most of the church were senior citizens. We were able to bring in students from Dallas Baptist University and lead and guide them in ministry. These young and older people had a special relationship and it was great to see them grow. We still keep in touch with many of the senior members and have been able to keep up with the younger ones that have gone on to serve in ministry elsewhere. We were able to see a commitment to missions by dedicating 20% of our budget to missions. Student Ministry, Various Ministries and Churches — 1994-2005 I served in several churches as either a youth pastor or as an intern. I was able to build relationships with many and encourage them in their faith. And although I have not been a youth minister for ten years now, I still keep in contact with some of my students.
