My wife of ten years, Lydia, and I have made a substantial lifestyle adjustment to answer this call, and are excited to be pursuing what the Lord has begun to lay out before us. I am passionate about teaching scripture, encouraging and challenging the church to grow, exercise faith, and share the Good News to empty and hurting hearts. We desire to serve the Lord with humility and enthusiasm. My wife is passionate about church music and choir, is classically trained in piano and voice, and graduated with a degree in Music Education. She also is interested in women’s ministry as well as the care and education of our three boys, Joshua (5/03), William (9/06), and Josiah (6/08). MINISTRY SUMMARY: Experienced in teaching and volunteering in numerous capacities. • Executive Director of SONlight, a non-profit organization with international exposure. Transitioned organization from being a simple founder run ministry to being a growing ministry receiving more visibility and involvement in new opportunities. Manage production and distribution of radio messages broadcast 575,000 times a year with a market value of over $24,000,000 in donated air time. EMPLOYMENT HISTORY: SONLIGHT FOUNDATION 1998 – 1999 & 2005 – present Non-profit radio ministry founded in 1977: produce programs aired on 1600+ stations in 50 states and 22 countries. Executive Director 2009-present Manage organization and provide direction and implementation of goals and tasks, and work with Board of Directors. Connect and cooperate with other organizations, and arrange opportunities and give presentations to groups large and small. Fill multiple roles to accomplish operations and ministry goals. • Rebranded radio messages with more effective format and presentation, and brought production quality up to contemporary standards. Created online portal for archive of radio messages and developed methods of digital distribution to listeners. Associate Director 2009 Write, direct, record, edit and produce Bible study messages, evangelism message, interviews, and special programs. Analyzed and modernized dated processes and increased efficiencies. • Solely redesigned and implemented new SONspots.org website with a hundred-fold improvement in content and usage, increased web exposure and engage further participation. • Design, write, and publish monthly full-color newsletters via mail and email. Increased distribution, content, and effectiveness of communicating with supporters and organizations. Technical Director 2005 – 2009 Oversaw editing of all five-minute radio spots and interviews. REYNOLDS AND REYNOLDS 2001 – 2009 Change Management Tech Specialist Responsible for support and problem solving of customer hardware and software related issues. Coordinated all client hardware system upgrades with numerous departments, including writing client and internal documentation, and creating documentation standards. Analyzed, investigated, and resolved slow systems. • Solely analyzed processes and learned new skills to design, program, launch, and administer secure database: saving $100,000+ in efficiencies and customer satisfaction. • Managed an extensive solo project of researching, compiling, writing, indexing, and maintaining 200+ page documentation; which became the standard reference for multiple departments. • Responsible for after-hours issues, including communication, unexpected and planned events. • Set customer service records and was consistently a leader in service metrics.
