Congratulations
Ms. Ashley Krieg
has made a significant impact in the facility
by mentoring new employees and caring for/
teaching our children. Her active involvement
in staff activities has ensured morale is healthy
by stocking the staff snack fund, coordinating
potlucks, and ensuring that departing
employees are recognized with farewell gifts.
Earlier this year, Ashley moved up into a new
age group, leaving the classroom she had
been the lead in for almost two years. She
stepped up to the plate and began getting to
know her new preschoolers and their families,
receiving immediate positive feedback. I
appreciate the work that Ms. Ashley puts into
our CDC program and I know for sure the
parents and children also appreciate her!
Thanks Ashley -- you are making a difference!

April is the Month of the Military
Child! The CDC team did an
outstanding job recognizing
children and their role in the
mission during the month.
Activities to celebrate included:
a Spaghetti Dinner, Art Auction,
Family Field Day and Parade. Additionally, the
CDC kitchen team received the Wing Award
for best kitchen (of 25) for two years running.
Ms. Bertha Neyland and Ms. Teresa Tuinei are
outstanding cooks with impeccable thought
for cleanliness and kitchen procedures (way to
go ladies!). Lastly, the CDC team is preparing
for the National Accreditation of Education of
Young Children accreditation. This is a lengthy
process filled with paper work, reflection and
planning where every team member must be
involved in order to succeed. The FSS looks
forward to welcoming the NAEYC validators to
our program to show off our team, facility and
our commitment to the Aviano children!
