Pictures required for Student ID’s. 9/17 Girl Scout Information Meeting 7 PM Main Hallway 9/18 Hajj/Eid Spirit Day—details to the right 9/21-9/25 Eid Break! 9/24 Eid al Adha 9/30 Casual Wednesday 10/1 Progress E Reports 10/14 Casual Day 10/23 Honor Society Inductions 5-7 PM 10/28 Casual Day 9:00 - 10:30 Steps of Hajj (Manasik Al Hajj) Prayer Hall Pre-K 9:00 - 9:20 KG 9:20 - 9:35 Gr 1 & Shajarah Tayyibah 9:35 - 9:50 Gr 2 9:50 - 10:05 Gr 3 10:05 - 10:10 Gr 4 & 5 10:15 - 10:30 - Students have regular class until Hajj performance - Students kindly bring these items before Friday: *"zakat" to donate during mock hajj * two large white towels & two large pins for boys * prayer clothing (hijab and skirt) for girls Following Hajj performance, students return to class. Teachers will introduce the Hajj/Eid craft to students. 11:30 - 11:52 PTO provides lunch; meat & rice, salad and cupcakes 12:00 - 12:20 Salah –MCA main prayer hall 12:35 - 2:00 Mad Scientist Show Volunteers needed. (Main Hall) 2:00 - 2:30 Hajj/Eid Stories in homeroom) 3rd Period—report to class, join bus with teacher to go to Gallup Park. Grade 8: Students present the steps of Hajj to MIA students Grade 9-12: Students will attend 1st—3rd Periods. Students wait in 3rd Period class until teachers escort them to the bus. MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL All students should dress for the weather. Students Gallup Park; will have lunch, Khutbah Paddle boating & Canoeing and Jummah Salat at the Barbeque park. Permission Slips distributed on Monday and due on Wed. Grade 6 & 7: 1st Period— regular class 2nd Period—Report to Prayer Hall with Arabic teachers for Hajj performance. Welcome to MIA 2015-2016 DRESS FOR SUCCESS Every day: Present yourself with care; a clean uniform in good condition shows that you take yourself seriously— and expect others to do the same. Free Friday Dress Up! Boys—Dress pants (no jeans, sweats or pajamas). Dress shirts (collar & buttons). Dress shoes (no sneakers/sandals). Girls—KG to Gr 6 long skirt or dress, abaya, long shirt & pants, any color dress shoes. Girls Gr 7-12 any color abaya & scarf, no jeans/pajamas, dress shoes. $1 Casual Wednesday No inappropriate images! Boys—MAY wear jeans, T-shirts, and sneakers. Girls–KG to Gr 5 MAY wear jeans & long loose shirts, and sneakers. Girls–Gr 6 to 12 MAY wear jeans under any color abaya & scarf, and sneakers.
