CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTRE
In CRC Sabah, we strongly believe in actively engaging with researcher and holding regular discussions with researchers,
apart from the regular research consultation sessions. We are also active in collaborative research, notably the
collaboration between CRC Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Infectious Disease Society of Kota Kinabalu and the Menzies
School of Health Research in various infectious diseases research projects.
Mesyuarat Kajian Penyakit Berjangkit (ID Projects Meeting)
15 June 2015: CRC Hospital Queen Elizabeth organized a meeting
with the Infectious Disease Society Kota Kinabalu and invited
major stakeholders from state JKN, district hospitals, laboratory
experts and university researchers (UMS, Menzies School of Health
Research) to discuss and decide on all the upcoming, ongoing and
completed ID research projects.
This ongoing collaboration has produced numerous international
journal publications, some of which have been adapted into WHO
guidelines for malaria management.
Extra-pulmonary TB Study Team Meeting
23 June 2015: CRC Hospital Queen Elizabeth organized a study team meeting for the extrapulmonary TB study, involving members from CRC, Menzies School of Health Research,
Gastroenterology unit, Infectious Disease unit, Pathology unit and General Surgery department
of Hospital Queen Elizabeth. It was a fruitful and engaging discussion, particularly on ways to
improve and optimize sample collection efforts across various units, departments and hospitals.
For this important collaborative research project.
