Every dollar we raise with your help goes to a great cause! Ahimsa House is dedicated to helping the human and animal victims of domestic violence reach safety together. Last year, the Ahimsa House 24-hour crisis line received calls from 31 counties all across Georgia and provided 3,137 nights of safe shelter for animal victims of domestic violence. More than 90% of donations directly support the people and animals we serve. Ahimsa House expects this year’s Walk N’ Wag to be a great success, and we have prepared Vendor Booth assignments and the check-in process based on last year’s feedback. Below you will find rules and guidelines to help make this event as seamless as possible for our Vendors. Reservation of Space and Vendor Space Rental Cost The total cost for a reserved Vendor space on October 23, 2010 is $50.00 (unless waived for an approved nonprofit organization). By completing a vendor application, you are agreeing to the terms set forth in these Vendor Guidelines. 2. Fee Schedule and Cancelations Booth rental fee of $50.00 is non-refundable and non-transferable unless written notice of cancellation is received thirty (30) days prior to the event date. 3. Acceptance Upon request to become a vendor, Applicant agrees to abide by all rules set forth by Ahimsa House and to honor instructions as deemed necessary during the event as issued by either the Event Coordinator and/or Ahimsa House designee. Vendors are urged to insure their equipment and products at their own expense. Ahimsa House will not be responsible for any injury that may occur to any employees, theft, loss of life or damage to any property from any cause whatsoever, regardless of whether management furnishes guards or night watchmen. 4. Unforeseen Events Walk N’ Wag is a “rain or shine” event. Ahimsa House cannot guarantee Vendor’s protection from loss or insure against loss for any reason. Vendor hereby waives any claim for incidental or consequential damages or compensation resulting from the inability to use the premises and agrees that Ahimsa House may retain the portion of payments made by Vendor necessary to cover expenses incurred by Ahimsa House incidental to the opening and management of the event through the time of termination. Use and Occupancy Ahimsa House may, in its sole discretion, assign, designate or change Vendor’s booth area location. The festival will provide designated space for each Vendor to be used for product displays and sales. Booth location will be determined by Ahimsa House. Booth space shall not be altered by the Vendor. Vendor shall staff its booth during all hours of the event and booth shall not be left unattended until after the publicized closing hour. Vendor Check-In is on Saturday, October 23 from 6:30am – 8:30am. We ask you be set-up and ready by 9:00am. While the event officially begins at 10:00am, it is our experience that people come early. The official event site for Walk N’ Wag 2010 is the Blue Lot located on Stella Road in Chastain Park. Prior to 9:00am, Vendors will have the ability to drive very close to their assigned Vendor Space. Volunteers will help direct you to your assigned Vendor Space help you unload. After unloading, you will be directed to the parking area in the Upper Blue Lot adjacent to the event site. After parking, return to your booth area to continue the set-up process. Chastain Park Parking Map: 6. Early Departure All Vendors are encouraged to remain open during event hours. Should Vendor need to leaver prior to festival closing, Vendor must carry all items out by hand. No vehicles will be allowed in the park under any circumstances until after the event concludes. Sale of Distribution of Products Vendors may only distribute approved items in good taste. No food may be sold or distributed for human consumption on festival premises by anyone except authorized food vendors. Nonprofit organizations may distribute and/or sell items, but are asked to refrain from directly soliciting donations at the event. 8. Right to Enter It is agreed that representatives of Ahimsa House may, at all times, enter into and upon said premises and examine the same and condition thereof. The Event Coordinator, planning committee members as assigned, and Ahimsa House reserve the right to examine any product or item sold prior to application approval and periodically during the event. 9. Flame Retardant Materials Tents/Signs/Banners shall be made of a flame retardant material and proof of such fire retardant rating shall be made available to the City and or State Fire Marshal upon request. Failure to have such fire retardant rating information available could result in the immediate closure of the vendor’s operation until such information is satisfactorily provided. Any losses or damages by the Vendor are hereby waived against Ahimsa House for failure to have such information readily available for inspection by the Fire Marshal. 10. Waiver of Liability It is specifically agreed by the parties to this Agreement that Ahimsa House, its agents, employees or assignees are in no way liable for any loss, damages or theft of any property belonging to the Vendor while on the site, grounds and area of the Walk N’ Wag 2010 event. The Vendor specifically acknowledges Ahimsa House provides no insurance and accepts no responsibility for any such loss whether the said loss is by accident, act of God, intentional act of destruction or theft.
