horrible histories:
for this year’s a2 examination work the
students have decided to creatively adapt
the works of the hilarious 'horrible histories'
focusing on the books based around the
first world war, such as the 'frightfully first
world war' and terrible trenches'.

AS EXAM WORK
CINDERELLA
WOODBRIDGE SCHOOL SIXTH FORM
LOUISE KATE DANCE
There are 2 groups this year, The Wooden Frock
and Girls Like This. The Wooden Frock is adapted
from the Cinderella family of stories. Dark,
dangerous and delightful, Kneehigh Theatre
brings this intoxicating folk story to vivid life.
Louise Kate Dance is very pleased to present
its adaptation of the much loved fairytale
Cinderella. This year the school has decided to
put on a full production of Prokofiev’s ballet in
which the pupils will be able to show off their
talents to friends and family. This production is
an exciting challenge for the school and
everyone has worked hard to produce an
amazing show which they hope will be enjoyed
by all.
Girls Like That is an urgent and explosive play that
explores gender equality and the pressures on
today's digital generation. A naked photo of
Scarlett goes viral. Rumours spread across
smartphones like wildfire and her reputation
becomes toxic, threatening to shatter the fragile
unity of the girls she has grown up with.

with branches in Ipswich and Felixstowe. The
school offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern and
Acrobatic dance.
YEAR 10
EXAM WORK
WOODBRIDGE SCHOOL
Year 10 pupils will be performing extracts from
Mark Wheeler’s ‘Too Much Punch for Judy’,
documenting the effects of drink-driving.
The school performs a show every year, where
pupils have the opportunity of showcasing their
syllabus through the magic of a story. This year
the Ipswich branch is performing The Snow
Queen, a magical story of good triumphing over
evil in a world of eternal winter created by an evil
Snow Queen.

DEBEN PLAYERS
Winner of the Oliver and Evening Standard
awards for Best Comedy, this celebrated play
serves up a riotous double bill – a play within
a play.
Hurtling along at breakneck speed it follows the
backstage antics of a touring theatre company
as they stumble their way through rehearsals to
a shambolic first night and a final disastrous
performance.
N.B - see all six plays and get to vote for the
audience award by buying (by april 29th)
a discounted season ticket for the princely
sum of £42! equal to £7 a show.
