Mexican government has allowed the pear or worm to
be used in Tequila bottles. We use the same high quality
Reposado Tequila in these products as we use in the
regular Tequila. Government regulations require us to
call this Tequila Liqueur but it is 100% Tequila, except

This is the first tequila with a worm. Many people do not realize that
Mezcal is the spirit with the worm and when they show up to liquor
stores they ask for the “tequila” with a worm and the retailer hands
them a mezcal. Now a tequila is available with the flavor everyone
expects with the added fun of the worm inside. Unfortunately
Mexican tequila laws don’t allow a worm in tequila therefore it
has to say tequila liqueur for that reason. Anyways, you can definitely

Venado Rum (Guatemala) - Zacapa Distillery
Venado is unique because of its origin and production. It was
previously labeled as aguardiente because it was only 38% abv.
Now the proof is 80 and it is labeled a Rum rather than an
Aguardiente. It is produced by Ron Botran in Guatemala, the
same producer as Ron Zacapa. It is aged for 18 months in
white oak barrels which gives it a very nice smoothness and
aroma. This product is the prefered rum of most customers of
Guatamalan origin and a great rum if you are looking for
something unique of good quality.
Quezalteca Indita Aguardiente (Guatemala)
Quetzalteca is an alcoholic beverage, considered to be the
national beverage of Guatemala, together with the national
symbol Quetzal - the bird, and local currency called also
Quetzals. It is a spiritual basically made from sugar cane juice
which is fermented and purified in order to obtain alcohol of
high quality; in other parts of Central and South America,
where Quetzalteca is exported and produced, too, this
beverage is called “aguardiente” Quetzalteca, meaning “strong
liquor”. The initial name of it is Quetzalteca Especial; the drink is
used in local cuisine for preparing different cocktails, and even
in the local culture in some rituals, the liquor being one of their
component parts.

Santiago Ridge Wines - Chile
Terroir: Mediterranean climate characterized by large day/night temperature
differences as a result of the proximity with the Pacific Ocean (80 Km) and
Andes Mountains (60 Km). Unlike the neighboring areas, Requingua receives
a fair amount of wind coming from the south during the summer afternoons.
This helps keep the temperature from rising too much during the summer
months. Requingua’s annual precipitation is 600mm concentrated during the
winter months.
Soil: Hillside blocks with gravity soil over a stone layer
approximately 1 meter deep.
Viticulture: 14 year old vineyards with a Guyot training
system and low yields.
Harvest: All of the grapes for this wine were hand-picked
during the second half of April.
Vinification: These wines underwent cold maceration and
were fermented in stainless steel. Following malolactic
fermentation the wine was aged in French and American
Oak Barrels and bottled at the estate.
Santiago Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon: Intense ruby in
colour with red reflections. At the nose there are red
fruits first, then hints of liquorice, coffee and
eucalyptus. Up-front attack on the palate; it all evolves
round and supple finish with mature tannins.
Santiago Ridge Cabernet/Merlot: Intense ruby colored
with pink reflections. Cassis, nuts, and dried fruits
driven aroma. Smooth and supple mouth evolves into
round tannins keeping that same suppleness. Wellbalanced wine with a hint of toasted bread on the finish.
Santiago Ridge Chardonnay: Yellowish in color with
mild golden reflections. It displays pineapple and
tropical fruit aromas; also, a round mouth with wellbalanced acidity. It is a pleasant, lightly bodied, easydrinking wine; suitable for every day consumption.
Santiago Ridge Sauvignon Blanc: Its aroma is slightly
grassy, with hints of lemon and acacia flowers. Smooth,
balanced mouth yet with excellent persistence. Wine
best enjoyed as aperitif or paired with fresh seafood
or cold starters.
