By car:
A scenic two-hour drive east of Everett on U.S Highway 2.
By Train: Amtrak departs Everett daily at 5:39 pm and arrives in Leavenworth at
8:00 pm. The return trip departs Leavenworth at 6:08 am and arrives in Everett at
8:38 am.
One-way ticket price $18.00. (Note that this is an advance purchase price. Amtrak ticket prices
are usually much cheaper when booked well in advance of travel.) amtrak.com
Leavenworth Shuttle & Taxi provides service from Icicle Station to the downtown hotels
at $5.00 per person (you cannot walk). To make a reservation:

By Bus:
Northwestern Trailways departs Everett at 10:10 am and arrives in
Leavenworth at 12:10. Return trips depart Leavenworth at 1:15 pm and arrive in
Everett at 3:25 pm.
One-way ticket price is $28.00.
Note that the bus stop is approximately one mile from the Festhalle ~ walking is a
viable option; or, Leavenworth Shuttle & Taxi is available.
By Bus & Train: If you find that the round-trip schedule for the bus or train doesn't
work for you, note that the Everett station serves both Amtrak and Northwestern
Trailways. You can return to your car in Everett on either one.
By Air:
Fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Van service from Sea-Tac to downtown Leavenworth is available through Wenatchee
Valley Shuttle. Three trips daily. $45.00 one-way. To make a reservation:

Driving distance is 126 miles.
By Air:
Fly into Wenatchee's Pangborn Memorial Airport.
Driving distance to the Festhalle is 30 miles; rental cars are available at the airport.
Lodging in Leavenworth:
Leavenworth has a thousand hotel rooms of varying price and proximity to the
Festhalle.
Boutique hotels with authentic Bavarian decor are adjacent (or nearly so) to the
Festhalle.
Budget lodging is also within a block and includes: A Motel-style, a traditional European
style hotel and two B&B's.
Many more Hotels, Lodges, Condos and B&B's are within a few blocks.

Parking: On-street parking near the Festhalle is free. The city-owned lot adjacent
to the Festhalle is $3.00 per day.
What to do when you're not playing bridge:
Leavenworth abounds with
restaurants featuring authentic Bavarian cuisine to Italian and South American.
Shopping in Leavenworth is unique. Stroll along Front Street and you'll find imported
Bavarian clocks, locally made wood toys and exotic holiday decorations. Local artisans
produce cheese, chocolate and artwork. There is even a shop specializing in whimsical
hats.
Local wineries host tasting rooms in town and craft beer can be sampled at the Icicle
Brewing Company located across the street from the Festhalle.
