Dear Parents & Caregivers,
FAMILY FESTIVAL
What an amazing night last Friday. Just due to start and
down came the rain! It was a lot of joy for everyone
under 15 though. Our congratulations to our PTA, Karen
& Lis, and the team of helpers for the hours of work
raising over $3000 towards Reading Books.
SCHOOL THREATS
Over the past 3 weeks there have been a number of
threats to NZ schools. These, Police believe are generated overseas and go out to a number of schools at a time.
The advice from the Police is:
 Ring 111 and school goes into Lockdown.
 The school in lockdown means that all children are
kept within classrooms until the all clear is given by
the Police.
 If there is a lockdown, children can not be collected
until the restriction is lifted and the Police would
strictly control who could approach the school.
 Of course this is in direct contrast to what you want to
do as a parent but it is the safest option for all.
 Sheri would update website and facebook, plus we
would be available via the phone lines.
 Our lockdown signal at school is a series of bells. We
will practice this again next week.
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The Board of Trustees elections are coming up in June.
We will be sending out more information shortly.
