Today we had the opportunity to speak with different teachers and different headmasters and headmistresses from different schools, to ask them about their jobs at the school and the way in which they perceive the leadership in their academic work in their institutions. VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION On Thursday, April 18th a simple but emotional cocktail was held to open the exhibition of eleventh grade students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Visual Arts program where they presented different works of art by the student‐artists themselves which were produced throughout the two years of the program. Of some of those presented were sculptures, paintings, photographs among others. The assembled artists' works may be found exhibited on the first floor of the administration building. Each student presented 8‐10 works which expressed their views and feelings about different social, personal and cultural topics. UCB DANCE FESTIVAL Our school has been highlighted in recent years because of the use of technology in education. Items such as personal computers for every student, ipads for preschoolers and the use of smart boards have made a big difference in our learning as students when compared to other academic institutions. INTERVIEW OF MARÍA CLAUDIA CEBALLOS JEOPARDY COMES TO BUCKINGHAM SHINING AT GIMNASIO MODERNO The school has continued participating in different models of the United Nations at different schools and locations in order to enrich the knowledge of our students about the different world conflicts which are of much importance presently. In this latest opportunity we had the possibility to participate in the model of Gimnasio Moderno from April 19th to the 22nd. Buckingham students played very important roles in the different committees that were held on this new conference. More On April 24th the tenth grade students, María José Gómez, Laura Botero, Veronica Apache, Laura Pedrosa and Ana Maria Jimenez, in company of the teacher Yolanda Perez, attended to the first forum of the role of women with social regard, organized by the school Los Portales, with the aim of highlighting the essential role that women play as subject to change and demonstrate service in society.
