125th anniversary
Ulm is very proud of its minster. This is particularly so as its completion in 1890
meant it became the highest church tower in the world reaching a height of 161.53
metres. 2015
will mark the 125th anniversary of this milestone: reason enough for the city of Ulm
to celebrate the presence of this monumental structure by organizing a large-scale
art project.
Internationally- known artists have been invited to express themselves artistically
using the tower as the central theme.
From a contemporary perspective, the focus is on addressing and interpreting the
Ulm philosophy: climbing high to be able to see afar.
Don‘t miss the free minster exhibition right next to the christmas market in the
Stadthaus.
