Special Guests
Synchro-Hearts - “Synchro-Hearts” is the name for Ex-Shadow and Malindachan as a Cosplay couple.
They are members of a larger group, “We *Heart* Card Games,” but this is their personal alias for reference
in Cosplay and Anime Convention going. Kyle and Malinda Mathis have been cosplaying since 2004, and it
became their favorite hobby in 2007 after they started attending conventions together. They have continued
to take on new challenges with each project, delveing into the arts of costume construction, wig styling, prop
making, and mascot work. Malindachan especially loves wig styling, sewing, and painting, while Ex-Shadow
specializes in props and armor. With their skills combined they make a fierce team!
Over the years Kyle and Malinda have won multiple awards for their cosplay craftsmanship and performances
and have been published in a number of publications. They both work for Arda-wigs.com, a wig business by
cosplayer for cosplayers. To Kyle and Malinda, cosplay is not only an art, but a community. They treasure the
friendships that they have made through cosplaying, and continue to welcome fellow cosplayers as friends.
They believe that cosplay is the right to anyone who wants to give it a try, regardless of their gender, race, or body type. They continue to
support the cosplay community and promote it to all who would take interest.
Samurai Dan & Jillian - Dan Coglan, a.k.a. “Samurai Dan” and his wife, Jillian are the acknowl-
edged masters of marital... er, MARTIAL mayhem. This dynamic duo travels the civilized portions of the U.S.,
bringing their unique show to curious and horrified audiences alike. In addition to their high-energy, mostly
safe stage shows (where razor sharp blades and barbs fly) the couple teaches historical and hysterical panels
on the way of the warrior. Offering a wide range of lectures and interactive workshops, Dan and his lethal love
Jillian are guaranteed to provide con attendees fun and fulfillment. Due to a supreme lack of filter, Dan also
performs standup comedy, and lives to embarrass his wife onstage, in censored and uncensored settings.
A storyteller at heart, Dan is finishing his third horror novel, and offers insights into the creative process with
panels for the aspiring writer as well.

Special Guests
Shane Moore - Shane Moore grew up on a farm in rural Illinois. An only child that was six miles from his
nearest peer, Shane often created wild tales of heroes and villains during his many trips into the deep woods that
surrounded his rural home.
Shane was accelerated in his class and started his senior year of high school at age sixteen. After graduating and
getting a waiver for his age, Shane joined the United States Navy to pay for college. He participated in campaigns;
“Provide Hope” and “Secure Democracy” during the Yugoslavian civil war. Shane received several naval awards
and citations and was one of the highest trained members of his ship.
Shane has been a police officer and football player as well as a professional novelist. His Abyss Walker series has
spawned thirteen novels, and recently, several franchise writers.
In June of 2012 Shane launched “The Apocalypse of Enoch,” his highly anticipated end of days thriller that mixes
Hitchcock with the Exorcism. With characters like Matt Hill (Ninja Tutles), Terry Naughton (Disney), and Peter Mayhew (Star Wars) written
in the story as their literal selves, “The Apocalypse of Enoch” shot to his publisher’s number one best seller. After a whirlwind tour and
media blitz landing him on several TV interviews–including Saint Louis’s FOX 2 with April Simpson and Tim Ezell, Shane has secured
permission of the Department of the Navy for the sequel “The Scourge of Enoch.” Shane has attended over 200 conventions as a guest
across the nation and despite his rugged appearance, has earned the title “The Dorky Shane Moore.” Of all the writers alive today, this is
one you must not miss! Shane resides in Central Illinois with his wife Tracy, and his son, Dakota.
Selah Janel - Selah Janel is an alumni of Mt. Vernon High School and the University of Southern Indiana, she
spent some of her best years growing up in the Mt. Vernon/Evansville area and often goes back to her experiences to enhance her stories. Selah has worked in costumes since her late teens in various positions for places like
Glimmerglass Opera, Lincoln Amphitheatre, and The Lost Colony. More recently she has done various design and
build work for various holiday, city, and amusement park shows and events. She also has experience in singing and
performance, and has had experience in improv, short film, and live theatre, as well as spending two seasons on
Madcap Puppet’s holiday show, Winter Wonders. At the heart of everything, though, is a story. Her work has also
been included in The MacGuffin, The Realm Beyond, Stories for Children Magazine, The Big Bad: an Anthology of
Evil from Dark Oak Press, Thunder on the Battlefield from Seventh Star Press, and Grotesquerie from Mocha
Memoirs Press. Olde School, the first book in her new series The Kingdom City Chronicles is released through Seventh Star Press. She likes her music to rock, her vampires lethal, her fairies to play mind games, and her princesses

Special Guests
Professor Shyguy - Professor Shyguy’s music can be best described as; high energy, chiptune-electro-rocking,
8-bit, epically vocalized, highly danceable, theatrical nerd-pop. Singing 50% about video games and the other 50%
is anything from Space/Time to English Language gymnastics. His performance consists of singing, playing guitar,
keyboards, and drums, sometimes three of those things at the same time. Since the first album he has shared the
stage with The Protomen, Peelander Z, Ellen McLain (aka the voice of GLaDOS), Samantha Newark (The voice of
Jem of ‘and the Holograms’), and more. Just recently released second album with guest stars such as Kyle Hebert
(The Narrator of Dragon Ball Z), Amanda Lepre (of Descendants of Erdrick), and Duane & BrandO he is back to
touring the U.S.!
HYPNOGRAM- Hypnogram is the live chip music project of Evansville native, Noah Deck.
Sourcing sounds from old school gameboys, NES systems, guitars, keyboards, and all manner
of other gadgets, his sets consist of live performances of popular game and anime music as
well as many original compositions. The sounds are at once modern and nostalgic, melding
contemporary styles with retro vibes to create something entirely different yet seemingly familiar, performed against a backdrop of homemade glitch art videos. See him at noon on Friday in Main Events and at the Friday night dance.

EvilleCon Rules
• EvilleCon assumes no liability for accidental injury or damage to personal property during the
convention.
• Attendance at the convention constitutes consent to the use of the attendee’s image or likeness
in any future advertising, recording, transmission, or reproduction of EvilleCon and consent to
ejection without refund for failure to comply with the rules stated herein.
• Attendees will not be disruptive or disrespectful to fellow attendees, special guests, vendors,
artists, EvilleCon Staff, volunteers (Minions),
hotel staff, or hotel guests. Disruptive behavior is not allowed and includes running, yelling,
playing loud music, horseplay, flying radio-controlled helicopters, unsolicited physical contact, or
any other behavior deemed disruptive or disrespectful by EvilleCon staff.
• Hallways, aisles, and doorways must be kept clear at all times. Attendees obstructing the flow
of traffic may be asked to clear the area. If you would like to stand and talk with friends, take
photos, or show off your vendor hall purchases, that’s great! But we ask that you do so out of
the way of convention traffic.
• Smoking, drugs, and alcohol are prohibited in all convention areas and in the general areas of
the hotel. See Drug & Alcohol Policy for more information.
• Rollerblades, skates, skateboards, scooters, heelies, and bicycles are prohibited in the
convention center and in the hotel.
• Revealing costumes are not allowed.
• No soliciting on convention grounds. Any signs interpreted by EvilleCon Staff as solicitation will
be confiscated and destroyed.

any item confiscated during the convention, you are welcome to remove the item to your hotel
room or car.
• You may be subject to voluntary search upon entry to the convention and at any time during the
convention. If a staff member suspects that an individual is refusing voluntary search because
he or she poses an immediate threat to a staff member, volunteer, attendee, guest, or hotel
employee, the proper authorities will be contacted.
• The Clarion Inn is a hotel. If hotel staff performs a service for you, it is good etiquette to tip the
employee 20% for good service. Please be respectful to hotel staff. The convention site is their
property. If you were at someone’s home and they asked you to take your feet off the coffee table,
you would do it. Attendees should treat hotel staff with the same respect.

damaged facilities.
• Disabled persons, EvilleCon Staff, on-duty Volunteers, special guests, and vendors are not

Volunteer. They will be recognizable by their distinctive shirts or badges and can be found
throughout the convention or in the Staff and Volunteer Lounge.

Guests will not sign body parts.
Photographs are welcome, but guests will not pose for shots. All shots taken must be candid.
While attendees are encouraged to converse with special guests, please keep comments brief so that the line can move efficiently.
Dance/EvilleBeat Rules
Specific policies for each individual event are available at the Registration Desk.
Attendees must wear their badge prominently on their person at all times during dances no matter the attire of the event.
Each event has separate rules for attire, but regardless of attire, all costumes should conform to general convention policies.
No containers of liquid other than bottled water will be allowed in the Main Events Hall during any dance at any time. Water bottles must be spill-proof and remain closed unless you are drinking from
them at the time.
Individuals who are disruptive, appear to be intoxicated, or who behave in any way that jeopardizes the safety of others will be ejected from the dance and will not be allowed to return. Any of the
above behaviors may result in the loss of your EvilleCon badge and removal from the convention, upon decision of EvilleCon Staff.
No backpacks, bags, props, or purses larger than 8″ in any dimension can be brought into the dance. We suggest that all bags be left in your hotel room or car during the dance.
Glow sticks are allowed in the Rave, but MUST NOT BE BROKEN. Anyone found by EvilleCon Staff or Volunteers to have intentionally broken a glow stick on convention grounds will be immediately
ejected from the convention and will be liable for necessary cleaning and/or repairs.
Flier Policy
Fliers must be approved by a EvilleCon Staff Member and will be placed on the Registration Desk or Assigned Table on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each organization will be allotted only one 8.5×11 stack.
Fliers placed in unapproved places will be removed. Multiple offenses will result in ALL fliers for the offending organization to be removed from the convention.
Fliers must be appropriate for all ages.
EvilleCon reserves the right to remove any flier at any time for any reason.
Fliers will be recycled at the end of the convention. If you wish to keep your remaining fliers, please remove them prior to Closing Ceremonies.
Round Table Rules
Round Tables are open forums for discussion on a particular topic. A list of possible talking points will be provided, and participants typically have one hour to discuss.
Please stay on topic. Unless you are drawing a brief and RELEVANT comparison between the topic series and another, do not discuss other series.
Take turns. No one likes to be interrupted. If someone says something you would like to respond to, politely raise your hand to indicate that you would like to respond. Likewise, if someone raises
their hand while you are talking, finish your sentence and let them speak.
Do not monopolize the conversation. If we wanted you to lecture on the topic for an hour, we would have invited you to lead a panel. Please be courteous and limit your responses to no more than
one minute before allowing other participants to speak.
Do not be annoying, vulgar, rude, or offensive. Except for the 18+ events, Round Tables are all-ages events, and the discussion should be appropriate for everyone involved.
Convention attendees are welcome to listen and not participate, but we ask that you sit outside of the discussion circle if there not enough chairs for all participants.
Participants not following these rules will be asked to leave the discussion by the panel room volunteer on duty. Severe or repeat offenses will be reported to EvilleCon Staff.
Anime Viewing Policy
EvilleCon is dedicated to the enforcement of copyright law. EvilleCon will not show a series without rights if the series is licensed in the United States. If you suspect that a series is being shown
without proper rights, please report your concern to a staff member immediately. Any series found to be without rights will be pulled from the schedule without notice.
These rules are based on the convention guidelines for Anime Boston, used with permission. They are copyright Anime Boston 2011, all rights reserved.
