one “amazing day to remember
Dear Fox family, Dear Terry and Darcy, Our dear gracious board, The mission you committed in our hands has been gloriously accomplished. Grandma Teopista and her family are one of the most blessed, grateful and rejoicing families. We finally dedicated and handed over the home to the family on November 16th and it was one “amazing day to remember for a very long time. The event was attended by many other grannies, clergy and government officials and family members from all over the region. One more and most remarkable important guest? JESUS!! It was an event filled with laughter and even tearful emotions. There was dancing, singing, jubilating and speeches from family, clergy and grandmas. It has been raining “hippos and alligators” but on that day God gave us a full day of nothing but sunshine. That was a miracle in itself. Thanks to our staff who worked tirelessly to make this event such a great success. With so much joy and deep gratitude, I am so pleased to tell you that Grandma and family moved into their house that same day of the official opening and they are living happily thereafter. The vision of our dear brother and Sister Terry and Darcy is alive and well. Here is what the community is saying; “Indeed God is real. Who would have thought that such a very poor person with no money, fame career or education can be loved so deeply by a family from halfway around the world in such a distinctive fashion? Who would even begin to imagine, looking at the fact that the Foxes are not biological relatives, not even of the same skin color, would pour out the richest and sacrificial gift of their hearts to make someone out there, feel like a princess?” The community is in awe! People are discovering the grace of God in a very special way while other grandma’s faith and hope is building up big time, praying that God will smile on them like he did to Grandma Esther and Teopista. Everyone prayed deeply for the Foxes and those prayers will go on for a long time. Many thanked God for Terry and Darcy and prayed that God will give them many more healthy and prosperous years. Terry and Darcy, I just wish you were here to see this. Foxes, how I wish there could have been some form of miraculous “rupture” that would have got you here just for that one day to see the fruits of your labor of love! I am confident that someday, the Lord will say to you…”well done faithful servants” and grandma Teopista will be there to give you big hugs and kisses. A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORD THEY SAY…LET THE IMAGES THEREFORE SPEAK; The day started with a big campaign of preparing the house and decorating everywhere for the dedication and handover. Grandmas came in numbers to support their fellow grandma. They were cooking the storm!! Talk about the “Outback” steak house? This was the “outback “everything. They made a quick “makeshift” kitchen and just produced a lot of food. There was no shortage. The Guest of honor (Grandma Teopista) arrived in the midst of dancing and jubilating. It was a moment to behold. Peaceful demonstration for a great blessing! Rev. Kabagambe preaching about “the power of God’s love” as crowds listens before he dedicated the house to God and the grandma family Grandma Topista’s family of kids and grandkids rendering a thanksgiving special song (The Lord is my shepherd} Speeches from great thanksgiving support from fellow grandmas (supported by Christaid government officials and clergy. LET’S DO SOME SERIOUS “SWALLOWSHIP” WE HAVE A REASON!! Great people enjoying great food cooked by many other grandmas. There was a lot of help from the community working together to make this event a smashing victory. Hey Bro, let’s talk later. I got business to take care of right now. (ONE OF Teopistas GRANDKIDS) ONE BIG MIRACLE!! ONE BIG FAMILY!! ONE COOL! HOUSE!! (God bless the Foxes! God bless the Omans! God bless Christaid!) MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!! GLORY BE TO GOD!! Blessings!!
