 The Border Latino & American Indian Summer Exposure to Research (BLAISER) is a cuttingedge program at the University of Arizona, Arizona Health Sciences Center (AHSC) designed
to empower students to enter Medical School, Health Professions and Graduate School.
This opportunity is for undergraduates majoring in the biomedical fields to learn about the
bench-to-bedside research process and prepare for a translational career in biomedical
research or academic medicine. The 2015 Program will be held from June 7 to August 12,
2015.

Enhance your GRE and MCAT skills
Create and present a research poster
Obtain additional clinical and community health

Student Eligibility

US Citizen OR US Permanent Resident
Current Junior status or beyond
Cumulative 3.25 GPA
Latinos, Native Americans and African Americans; populations that are underrepresented in the
biomedical and health sciences
Currently majoring in: biology, chemistry, physiology, microbiology, engineering, computer sciences
and similar fields

On campus housing for non-UA students, paid by the program
