PRAYERS & INTERCESSIONS:
Betty Petherbridge, as she is treated for severe sciatic
nerve pain in her hip.
Hiep Bui (Trong Bui’s brother) as he finishes his first
round of chemotherapy.
Karen Hazlett who will have surgery February 24 to
remove a small melanoma on her back.
Bruce Fink, as he continues to recover from his stem cell
transplant in Houston. Pray that Bruce remains infection
free so they can return home on February 27. Do not send
any more mail to Houston. Faith House does not forward

Gloria Munguia, Ray Enriquez’s mother, who had
another surgery in Los Angeles. She is recuperating at
home. Ray is with her.
OUR OUT OF STATE COLLEGE & GRADUATE STUDENTS:
Garret Garalde, Caleb Gaskins, Caroline Harris (pray for
Caroline and all students at Appalachian State Universitythere have been nine student deaths at ASU this school
year from suicides, drug overdose, and car accidents)

families by serving in the Preschool or Nursery

Think On These Things
When sin is exposed … it is tempting to grovel in
self-hate and self-loathing. We feel inflicting punishment on ourselves will somehow resolve our guilt.
But this is simply another form of relying on ourselves—it is pride in disguise. We diminish the sacrifice that Christ has completed. We deny the freedom from guilt and shame that Jesus has bought for
us at a costly sacrifice.
