Information Pack - International Hapkido Alliance
Welcome + Schedule of events + Event pricing + Official Hotel & Training Hall + Sight-seeing + This information pack provides an outline of the International Hapkido Alliance’s premiere martial arts event of 2015, our International Training Seminar (ITS) being held in Guadalajara, Mexico. The sixth ITS will be packed with eight (8) days of intensive training, seminars, workshops and sightseeing fun and adventure for you and your whole family. The International Hapkido Alliance (IHA) is proud to host this spectacular event at the Victoria Ejecutivo Hotel where all our travelling IHA family and friends will be staying. And we will welcome many international Grandmasters and Masters who I consider as some of the best in the world. I look forward to travelling to Guadalajara to greet old martial arts friends, make new ones and to step onto the mats to share my passion for Kwan Nyom Hapkido. Grandmaster Geoff J. Booth The warm up event before the ITS Training Week gets underway! The Sun Bae (or senior student) training day is open to all Red Belts (2nd Kup) and above and is a requirement for those testing for senior Black Belt rank. This day is open to all eligible students who wish to advance their training and belt knowledge. For international guests, this day presents an opportunity to train with senior students including Black Belts. Another opportunity is the ITS training week (Hell Week). The ITS Training Week will be taught by Grandmaster Geoff J. Booth with assistance from IHA Masters, senior Black Belts and local guest Instructors. The Training Week will go through all aspects of Kwan Nyom Hapkido from White to Senior Black Belt levels. The training will involve 5 to 6 hours of instruction per day including a guest or special seminar/workshop. Students/participants can do 1 day or multiple days of the training week. If you take the challenge of doing the entire week (5 days), you will have survived what the Aussies proudly call “Hell Week” - a badge always worn with honour for those that survive! Are you game?
