that a regular meeting of the Midlothian Parks Board will be held on Monday, August 11,

The Municipal Park Board for the City of Midlothian met on Monday, July 14, 2014 at City Hall
located at 104 West Avenue E, Midlothian, Texas.

Chairman Daniel Tompkins called the meeting to order at 6:31pm.

Board Member Angela Stephens moved to approve Regular Agenda Item.
Motion was seconded by Board Member Patrick Farrell.

2014-048 Presentation of Midlothian DFW’s Southern Star Independence Day Parade Award
Winners and direct staff accordingly
Chairman Daniel Tompkins presented Midlothian Girls Softball Association the Grand
Marshal award chosen by Taya Kyle and family; Park Board members awarded and presented
Riding Naturally, Cathy Altman, the Best Decorated Award and Esquivel Insurance, Rita
Esquivel, the Judge’s Award.
2014-049 Consider and discuss proposed Comprehensive Park System Survey with Raymond
Turco & Associates and act upon or direct staff as necessary
Raymond Turco presented Power Point presentation and welcomed questions.

No throwing of any product from parade unit.
No direct spraying at spectators.
Walkers are allowed to hand out product/candy along
the parade route.
Walkers are prohibited from spraying spectators.
Float/unit must remain in line once assigned position
or forfeit parade participation.
DO NOT STOP vehicle/unit/float at any time to hand
out product during the parade.
