The sharing, passion, generosity and caring of our local business community has built true relationships between our Partners and our schools. Every day, Partners make it possible for teachers to present innovative programs with mini-grants. Partners make it possible for students to get the one-to-one mentoring that can spark a life-long love of reading or the tutoring to master multiplication. Partners guide students in careers, volunteer at school cleanups and deliver pizza to an English class as a reward for hard work. Our Partners are as diverse as our students. We have mentors from Fortune 500 insurance companies and tutors from local banks. We get financial support from real estate agents and elevator companies. Donations come from ice-cream shops and scientific research companies. Students learn about careers in hospitals and auto repair shops. In many ways, every single day, our Partners make contributions that make a real, lasting difference in our schools – and have a life-long impact on our students. John Fagerlund Coordinator Message from the Superintendent This year, we celebrate another QPS tradition of twenty plus years of the Quincy School ~ Community Partnership. Our system is grateful for the commitment and dedication of these partners who provide financial contributions, student and site support, and connect our students with career opportunities. Our Partnership Pathways provide multiple ways for businesses to become involved in our schools, enhance the educational opportunities of our students, and support our dedicated professional staff. Businesses and community partners gain positive exposure in the community and students gain valuable insight into business and community practices. Our partners’ investments support the academic and social success of our students and are an integral part of their development into productive citizens and involved community members.
