TRIP OF A LIFETIME
Elephant Orphanage
Elephant calves orphaned by poaching
are brought to the orphanage from all
over the country. They receive extremely
specialized treatment & personal care 24
hours a day from highly dedicated staff
who become surrogate mothers to the
calves.
Eventually the calves are
released into the wild & monitored till
they are able to bond with the wild herds.
The orphanage is open to visitors from
11.00 a.m. when the calves are fed.
Shortly after you arrive, the little
elephants come running in from the
surrounding forest to greet you and to
have a bottle of milk.
Also presented to use in separate
groups: pre-teen elephants & teenage
elephants. All are orphans.
This is a very meaningful visit.

AFRICAN SAFARI
“Your custom designed, Five Star tour to Africa,
is beyond belief!
My wife and I had a great time and would like to
thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
“We traveled with Ron on his 17 day African
Safari to Kenya and Tanzania to fulfill a
childhood dream to see the wild animals of
Africa.
We have traveled with you FIVE times, Ron,
and would like to think about what we want to
do next year with you, once again.
The fulfillment of this dream could never
have been better. We were within just feet of
most of the animals!
Ron, you cater to each person’s needs. The
accommodations on all your trips are second to
none, the food is excellent, and your planning
skills are fabulous.
Thanks again for a Trip of A Lifetime!”
Everything
went
as
planned,
GREAT
accommodations and food (even the luxurious
tent with the ensuite bath and reading room).
The mini-bus drivers were very knowledgeable
about wildlife, plantlife, politics and local
customs.

AFRICAN SAFARI
“Once again, we have enjoyed a great tour
designed by Ron.
This is a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME tour which we
recommend to those with adventure in their
souls.
The surprise early morning bus trip
around London, was very much appreciated
during our layover at Heathrow on our return
journey.”
It was an exciting adventure to tour Kenya with
Ron, where we were able to view many wild
animals up very close!
Our visits to tribal villages gave us an insight
into rural life in Kenya. We enjoyed some
unique accommodations, great meals and fun
times throughout the safari.
As always, we left all our concerns to Ron, who
took care of all the details so very capably.
We have returned home with great photos and
treasured memories… of a very special holiday.
Thank you Ron and Wendi. “

Ron’s tour was very well organized and ran
smoothly. Traveling companions were great.
All the “extras” that Ron includes make this a
memorable trip.
Seeing “the wilds” of Africa has been a life-long
dream which has now been realized and I look
forward to traveling again with Ron!

Day 03
June 03, 2017
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be enjoyed within our
Hotel. If you are not taking part in the afternoon
excursion you may like to enjoy relaxing on one of the
lounge chairs located around the swimming pool or you
may enjoy visiting the little hotel gift shop. Wendi found
some treasures in this little store!
(B / L / D)
Nairobi, Kenya’s capital is a well-planned modern city of
over one million inhabitants. The word Nairobi is derived
from the Maasai or Masai word meaning “Cold Water”.
The city is justly described as a garden city as its broad
avenues are lined with flowering plants and shrubs.
Situated at an altitude of 5,500 feet, it enjoys hot sunny
days and cool evenings.
The Samburu National Reserve took its name from the
massive cone of volcanic rock that dominates this
region. The landscape is similar to nearby Samburu with
riverine forests, Acacia and Doum palms.
This area is famous for the association with Kenya's
most renowned conservationists, George and Joy
Adamson and their lioness Elsa. Samburu National
Reserve is right next to the Shaba and Buffalo Springs
reserves, and borders the Ewaso Ngiro River.
We will enjoy game drives, our lodge (for two nights) and
perhaps a dip in the blue waters of the swimming pool,
or viewing wildlife at a watering hole from the lounge.
This evening following dinner at the restaurant you may
enjoy relaxing at the lounge with a Tusker beer, a
chance to get to know your fellow travelers. (B / L / D)
Day 06
Samburu/Buffalo Springs
Day 07
Cont’d
Today, our morning game drive will provide an
opportunity to capture the essence of the African SemiDesert and later in the afternoon, we will have ample
time to relax by the pool. A relaxing day!
In 1979, the Canadian Embassy funded the
construction of a washing and dyeing room and also a
verandah which was to be used as the display shop for
the finished products for the customers.
Samburu, provides one of the few sanctuaries in Kenya
for the endangered Grevy’s Zebra, the rare Beisa
Oryx, the Blue-Shanked Somali Ostrich and the DikDik (a tiny antelope) while large herds of Elephant roam
the gaunt hills during the day before returning to bathe
on the banks of the river in the evening. The central
feature of the reserve is the winding and looping Ewaso
Nyiro River. On either side of the river a green ribbon
presents a gallery of Forest Acacia, Doum Palm and
Tamarind, which act as host to a multitude of birdlife.
The center boasts of having to use locally available raw
materials from the surrounding Highlands to bring
beautiful African designs of Carpets, Shawls, Cardigans,
Throws, Pullovers, Scarves and Bedcovers into many
contemporary homes.
Ron has arranged a Special Surprise for
our group this later afternoon 
While in Nanyuki, we make a brief stop at the Equator,
where you view a simple water test to ascertain the
magnetic effect on the northern & southern sphere.
As simple as the demonstration maybe, it is still amazing
on how it works. (Subject to time & availability).
We will enjoy our stay for “Two Nights” within the
Sweetwaters Game Reserve.
(B / L / D)
Our lodge is in the Buffalo Springs and overlooking the
Ewaso Nyiro River. From the lodge, you have a
fantastic view over the stunning plains, where elephants
are grazing.
(B / L / D)
Day 08
Day 07
This morning, a game drive is enjoyed, with a visit to the
Chimpanzee sanctuary including a short walk along
Ewaso Nyiro River, to see these magnificent creatures.
Sweetwaters / Ol Pejeta
(Enjoying our Two Night stay)
Following our delicious breakfast, we depart and travel
south to Sweetwaters.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy, is a 24000 acre reserve saddling the
Equator
enjoys
magnificent
views across the plains to the
snow-capped peaks of Mount
Kenya, and has an abundance
of
wildlife
and
tropical
vegetation. Sweetwaters Game
Reserve
and
Chimpanzee
Sanctuary is the closest reserve
to Kenya's Capital Nairobi to
boast all of the "Big 5" game Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo.
Upon arrival at Ol Pejeta, Ron has a
Special Surprise for our group. 
Later this afternoon, we will set out on an excursion to
the Nanyuki Weavers and Spinners.
(Subject to time & availability).
Nanyuki is one of the major wool producing areas in
Kenya. The self help women project was started with
the main aim of training poor, widowed and single
women living in the surrounding villages of Nanyuki town
in the craft of Spinning, Knitting and Weaving with the
main objective of making them self-reliant.
Sweetwaters / Ol Pejeta
Chimpanzee Sanctuary is a 200-acre sanctuary that
has been set up at Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
A visit to this sanctuary is a must.
The aim of the project, initiated by Lonrho East Africa,
Kenya Wildlife Services and the Jane Goodall Institute,
was to set up a colony where chimps could be
introduced, rehabilitated and taught to fend for
themselves in an area similar to their natural living
conditions. Priority is given to orphaned and abused
chimps.
Did you know that chimpanzees have 98.6% of our
genes?
Ron has arranged a Special Surprise for
our group today - Bring your camera! 
On our game drive, we
are in search of the 'Big
Five' including rare Black
Rhinos, Lions, Elephants,
Giraffes and others.
We venture back to our
unique
accommodation
and will have a chance to
relax and watch wild
game.
(B / L / D)
Day 09
Lake Naivasha
(Enjoying our Three Night stay)
Following our breakfast, we now depart for Lake
Naivasha.
We will arrive at the lodge for a late lunch. It's an
unbelievably beautiful setting right next to Lake
Naivasha. Following lunch we will have time at leisure
to enjoy the one hundred and fifty acres of grassland
studded with Acacia bushes and trees, the resort is not
only home to our resident giraffes, waterbucks, zebras &
both Vervet and Colobus monkeys. In addition to
walking around this stunning property you may like to
enjoy one of the two swimming pools.
Day 10
Day Excursion to Lake Nakuru
Following breakfast, we will travel to Lake Nakuru and
spend an exciting morning & afternoon in this game
park on the lookout for rhino, leopard and other game.
This exotic park boasts a rich concentration of wildlife
including black and white Colobus Monkeys, and is
also a famed Rhino sanctuary.
Do look for temperamental
black Rhinos browsing on
bushes, and larger white
Rhinos cropping the grass
along the lakeside! Nowhere
else, will you get a photo of a
Rhino backed by a mirage of
pastel pink Flamingos on a
soda lake.
Lunch today will be enjoyed at
one of the lodges within the
park.
The National Park is full of unusual environments
including strange cactus-like Euphorbia trees and eerie
forests of flakey-barked Fever trees 100 feet tall. It has
also become renowned for its daytime Leopard
sightings.
Following our day safari to Lake Nakuru we will return to
our lodge at Lake Naivasha. You might like to enjoy our
unique lodge by having a relaxing drink at the bar with
views of the beautiful property and wildlife. (B / L / D)
Day 10
Lake Navashai
Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed
by thick papyrus. Much of the lake is surrounded by
forests abound with bird life, and Naivasha is known as
a world class birding destination.
Day 10
Cont’d
The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to
these shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia,
Buffalo wallow in the swamps and Colobus monkeys
call from the treetops while the Lakes large Hippo
population sleeps the day out in the shallows.
Ron has arranged a Special Surprise for
our group today - Bring your camera! 
Following lunch, we will now enjoy a
relaxing boat ride to Crescent
Island, which is a private sanctuary
located on Lake Naivasha's eastern
side.
Kindly Note:
Many tours do
NOT include this wonderful
adventure on their itineraries!
