The House of Welcome (HOW) works with asylum seekers and refugees living in the Sydney community. HOW provides housing, food aid, financial assistance and other caseworker services. The House of Welcome does not discriminate on gender, race, religion or age. HOW clients are often not eligible for government housing, Centrelink benefits and affordable medicine because they are asylum seekers. We are open from 10am-3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Who works at the House of Welcome? Free document translation service The Australian Government also provides a free document translation service through TIS National, for permanent residents and new citizens of Australia. All of us can experience stress and anxiety because of experiences we have in life or we can sometime feel ‘lost’. Also, the loan can be used on flight costs for family reunions. An average NILS loan is approximately, $800-$1200 and is paid back in 12-18 month period.
