Thank you to everyone who joined us on Thursday, October 29, for our first Fall Celebration dinner at Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano, in West Des Moines! Plus, I happen to think our group simply “lit up” the room that night! In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16) Benedizioni, Paige In This Issue For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:9 WELCOME!!! LifeQuest Celebrates Our First Baptism Reaching Out to the Community Candlelight Service Bible Studies “Elbow” Events Bible Studies God has called us to go, “ALL IN” through our earlier study this fall, (written by Mark Batterson), and led by Dr. Daniel. He is now calling us to “HEAR HIS PLAN” for our lives, and taking us deeper into His Word, in our Book of Acts study. We’ve also dabbled into the Book of Revelations, and may schedule a study for this the first of the year. We are overjoyed in the response to these life changing studies, and thankful God is stretching each of us to grow in this journey. Thank you for joining in a study this fall! Baptism of Lila Maxine Wheat—October 31, 2015 LifeQuest Ministries Celebrates Our First Baptism! We’ll be offering a Lenten Study, and wanted to provide you with these dates. They are February 18 & 25, March 3, 10 & 17. We’ll share more information in the January/February newsletter. On Saturday, October 31, the Spirit of God was swirling in the home of Morgan and Paige Wheat, as their “little bundle of cheeks,” Lila Maxine was baptized in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Pastor, Dr. Wesley Daniel surprised everyone, by baptizing Lila with water from the River Jordan in Israel, adding to the sacredness of this day! Lila was encircled by about 25 family and friends, including her big brother, Theo and grandmother, Sandi Wheat. Pastoral Ministry Associate, Paige Chapman assisted at baptism. LifeQuest presented Lila with a chewable “Baby’s First Bible,” and handmade pink and white polka dot blanket. Praying she will be fed by God’s Word daily, and that she knows God wraps her in the warmth of His grace and peace always! THANK YOU TO ALL, WHO SHARED GIFTS THROUGH GENEROUS DONATIONS AND SERVING THOSE AT CISS THIS MONTH! Cafeteria at Central Iowa Shelter & Services—LifeQuest Team to serve on November 13 Come and see... The Early Church grew by leaps and bounds when those who were touched and transformed with God’s love, went and shared their story of how God was at work in their own lives. They shared their story, with a sense of enthusiasm to their relatives, neighbors, friends and in their day-to-day places of life. After experiencing Christ in a very personal way, Andrew went and said to his brother, “Come, and see.” When Jesus saw the men at the seashore, he offered a simple invitation and said, “Come, follow me.” We too, can and will grow our church, when we share our own story with those around us, offering a genuine invitation for them to... “Come, and see!” Please be praying and thinking about who you could invite to be a part of our circle of faith and fellowship, so that they too can “taste,” “see,” and experience first-hand, the power of God’s transforming love! Happy Thanksgiving, and A Joyful Christmas, from All of Us at LifeQuest! Dr. Wesley S.K. Daniel Pastor, LifeQuest Ministries Community Candlelight Service Come, join us for a traditional candlelight service on Sunday, December 13, 5:30 p.m. We will soon be sharing the location with you. Invite a friend, relative, acquaintance or neighbor to join you for this inspirational and meaningful worship experience, as we celebrate the birth of Christ.
