August 2014
From this summer 2014, partners are in the middle of the project lifetime. Now all elements are in our
hand to intensify the project during next year.
Most of startups were identified, Birmingham City University joined our area for work. The previous
Lila applications allows partners to share and improve about our methodology. Co-designing, codecision are main word to learn through this Interreg IV-B project.
Progressively, Lila will contribute to the innovative model of the user-driven project. This, at a
European level, with the involvement of the citizens.

Bike for childs
The entrepreneur Orlin Nedelchev has developed a prototype of an innovative and fully ecological
bike for kids between 2 and 3 years. He is looking for product validation in Germany in order to
take decision about potential market penetration in this country and in other mid European
countries, realized by re-sellers that need to be identified. Motivation for the users (parents)
should be the high-quality nature-oriented materials and construction, from one side, and the
“nostalgia” element, provided by the old-fashion design, from the other.
INI-Novation has involved the entrepreneur in the LILA process. The lab was performed on use-test
basis, between April and June 2014. Four users (kids between 2 and 3 years old) got the chance to
drive as long as desired (in average between 15 min and 1 hour). Their parents were accomplishing
the kids, observing their behavior, especially in co-relation with the construction, functionalities
and features of the bike. Finally, the parents were asked to fill the questionnaire and provide their
feedback.
