Kufstein experience SHOPPING KISS Kufstein Galerien Inntalcenter Innpark Kufstein Walking tour around the town Our tour starts in the lower town square at the Marienbrunnen fountain. We take the right-hand passage and reach the water bastion, the last of the main remains of the old city walls. Beneath the Innbrücke (bridge over the river „Inn“) we continue to another section of the city walls, where the semi-preserved corner tower has command over the „Auslasstor“, a former outlet to the River Inn. After passing through the „Auslasstor“ we reach Römerhofgasse, where two old wine taverns are part of a charming section of Kufstein‘s old town. The town‘s parish church is a late Gothic hall church, dating from around 1400. To the left, in front of the church, is a memorial to Dean Dr. Hörfarter, founder of the first kindergarten in Tyrol. Next to the parish church is the Holy Trinity Church with its crypt chapel, dating from around 1500. In the upper town square area is the Egger building, one of the most beautiful of Tyrol‘s art nouveau style houses, and the Sparkasse building, which was constructed in 1907. The shopping town which has an alluring and unique ambience If you are spending your holiday in our Holiday region of Kufstein you shouldn’t miss out on a bit of shopping in the fortress town. The area which has the majority of the shops extends from Kaiserbergstraße to the upper town square area. There are two shopping centres in this region, the Inntal centre and Kufstein Galleries. The two are connected via a panorama bridge and therefore provide the biggest covered shopping centre in the entire district! The third shopping centre is ‘KISS’ - located in the lower town square, it is currently nearing completion.
