We had over 350 people in attendance and raised over $92,000. None of this would have been possible without the caring philosophy of our Local Businesses and Community Members who came together to support our 'Neighbors in Need' with over 125 Monetary Sponsorships and more than 175 Auction Items. We cannot THANK the community enough for their outpouring of generosity in supporting the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic. Mark your calendars now and make plans to attend the 11th Annual Vegas by the Bay, Saturday, March 19, 2016. We are calling on churches, civic organizations, businesses and individuals to take a tour of the Gloucester-Mathews Care Clinic. We are unique in many ways: from having dental and medical services in one location, an on-site pharmacy, a diabetic kitchen and patient education classes to empower our patients to better self-manage their chronic disease. However, our very best “medicine” for our patients is the warm compassion given by staff and volunteers. For many years, free clinics measured its success by the number of patient encounters rendered. However, with insurance reform, the trend is now towards outcome measures. We have vignettes we can share when you come on tour, regarding improved health outcomes of our patients. Kay G. Bradley, Executive Director Courtesy of Quinton Sheppard Gloucester Mathews Gazette Journal We offer our conference room to groups coming on a tour. Why not have a Board meeting or committee meeting at our building, and tour the clinic before or after your meeting? Staff members are also available to present to your organization. Please call our Director of Marketing, Colleen Cannon, at 804-210-1368, Ext 203 to set up an appointment or to learn more about our clinic. Kay G.
