NAS LEMOORE INSTALLATION MASTER PLAN January 20, 2015 MISSION As the Navy’s premier Strike Fighter Master Jet Base, Naval Air Station Lemoore provides the infrastructure, products and services that enable Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Pacific squadrons to conduct operations in support of National Tasking; enables readiness through quality of life services; fosters and strengthens collaborative community relationships; and achieves installation efficiencies through innovation. Family Housing District – Mix of training buildings, outdoor training areas, mockups, and other facilities supporting a diverse training curriculum. Note: map is not to scale NAS Lemoore Installation Master Plan Promotes a healthy & sustainable NAS Lemoore community, forming a node of activity around the intersection of Franklin and Hancock Avenues. • Joint Use Training District – Core area for base and mission support. Low-rise buildings will be anchored by pedestrian oriented, ground floor storefronts concentrated around the central core area at Franklin and Enterprise Avenues. Personnel Support District – Mixed use district of low-rise & light industrial compatible land uses. Supports ordnance handling & storage facilities that meet current requirements while preserving capacity to accommodate the weapons systems and missions of tomorrow. Base Administration District – Enhanced Use Lease District – • – Support efficient & effective execution of the primary mission at NAS Lemoore as well as any future airfield related missions. Open space with farm lands, wildlife areas, photovoltaic arrays and other uses that maintain the undeveloped character while protecting the primary mission from incompatible land uses that could limit operational capabilities. (10 U.S.C. § 2684a) • • Priority: Ensuring military installations (air, lands and sea) are sustained and can train and test effectively. Funding = The lesser of 50% of fee simple value or 100% of restrictive use easement value. Victory Village 2013 • NAS Lemoore’s first successful REPI project • Official Partners: West Hills Community College District Pharris Lemoore LLC • Navy purchased a restrictive use easement on the property which allows for reduced residential use under low-level flight paths • Maintains District’s ability to use the property for educational purposes including nature trails, irrigation, agriculture, etc. NAS Lemoore is actively seeking partners to enact REPI conservation measures.
