Beyer-Garratt 6029 Inaugural Public Trip 28 February 2015 Be part of the first public trip of 6029 since its restoration. Canberra Railway Museum has a strictly limited number of seats available for the Garratt’s main line shakedown run on 28 February 2015 from Goulburn to Thirlmere, NSW — where it will participate in Thirlmere Festival of Steam over the weekend 28 February to 1 March 2015. Tickets for this Day Tour are on sale now and include entry to Trainworks. Passengers have the option of a coach service from Canberra Railway Station, Kingston, connecting with the train at Goulburn (no additional cost). Return trip is via one of our heritage diesel-electric locomotives all the way to Canberra.
