1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 No national authority prescriptions will apply.
1.3 If there is a conflict between languages English text will take precedence.
1.4 RRS 44.1 and 44.2 are changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn
Penalty.
2 ADVERTISING
Competitors may be required to affix bow stickers displaying sponsors logo(s) or/and name(s)
chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.
3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRIES
3.1 The event is open to all boats and boards with foiling (from 1 person to 4 persons).
3.2 Eligible boats may enter by completing the entry form on on the foiling week website
(http://one.foilingweek.com/index.php#sailors) by and not later than 30th June 2016.Late entries
will be subject of additional entry fee described in SI 3.3.
3.3 Entry fee will be as follows:
Entry fee:
 One person boat: 40€
 Two persons boat: 60€
 Three persons boat: 90€
 Four persons boat: 120€
Late entry fee (after 30/06/2016): 10€ penalty
4 ENTRIES ON-SITE
4.1 Entries on-site shall be made on 08/07/16 14.00 to 18.00 and Saturday 09/07/16 from
09.00 to 10.00 in regatta office located at Fraglia Vela Malcesine - Navene.
4.2 The following documents shall be presented:
• Entry form
• Entry fee payment receipt;
• FIV membership
• Third part liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1.500.000 EUR per incident. Please
take with you also a copy, to leave it at the secretary office.

6 MEASUREMENT
Boats may be subject to inspections at any time during the regatta.
7 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available at the registration.
8 VENUE
Attachment A shows the location of the regatta venue and the racing area (between Ponale –
Malcesine and Campione)
9 COURSES
The courses will be described in the Sailing Instructions
10 SCORING
One race per day will be sailed, approx. distance 25 miles.
11 SUPPORT BOATS
Support boats shall be registered with the organizing authority and will be required to comply
with local legislation.
12 COMPULSORY SAFETY EQUIPEMENT
12.1
- personal flotation devices in accordance with EC specifications
- 1 towing rope of 15 meters long and 6 mm in diameter (only for multi-hull)
- RECCOMENDED: helmet of protection for each crew member
12.2 OTHER AUTHORIZED AND RECOMMENDED EQUIPEMENT in case of emergency :
- VHF
- portable GPS,
- electronic compass,
- a knife attached to the martingale or under the trampoline
- a mobile phone
13 MEDIA RIGHT
By participating in the regatta competitors automatically grant the organizing authority and
their sponsors the right in perpetuity to make, use and show, from time to time at their
discretion, any motion pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproductions of
the athlete during the period of competition without compensation.
14 PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to

the 1st overall

the 1st kite / board

the 1st mono-hull

the 1st multi-hull

the 1st of each fleet (a fleet is composed by at least 5 boats monotype)
15 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race.
The organizing authority of Fraglia vela Malcesine, the Federazione Italiana Vela, their officers,
members and volunteers do not accept liability for loss of life or property, personal injury
sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta. .The establishment of the
Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions in no way limits or reduces the complete and
unlimited responsibilities of a competitor being solely and entirely responsible for the
management of a boat he or she is sailing.
A competitor must be of good health and a competent sailor capable of sailing in strong winds.
It is the responsibility of each sailor to decide to participate in a race or to continue racing.
A competitor is wholly and exclusively responsible for third party liability insurance on the boat
that he or she is sailing and for his or her personal accident and health insurance.

17 LOGISTIC INFORMATION
16.1. Boats trailers and cars may park in the sailing club parking lots from Friday, July 8th until
Monday, July 11th. It is forbidden to park Camper, Vans, either during the day or overnight,
within the limits of the Fraglia Vela Malcesine private area.
Please enter with the trailers from the North Entrance of the Club and not from the main
entrance of the car park. We will publish the map of the logistic planning for the regatta.
