We Accept…
every three years. They can deny us the
right to retransmit their signal on our
television systems unless we agree to
drastic rate increases with little room
for negotiation. These increases far
exceed the rate of inflation. In many
cases, cable companies are forced to
drop the network as they can no longer
justify the rates demanded by the
broadcasters.
Across the country, networks are increasing their fees to cable companies,
which affects our customers directly.
We want our customers to know that
fees from all the networks we carry
account for the bulk of monthly cable
bills. Additionally, broadcast television
stations (ABC, NBC, CBS & Fox) have
the right to grant or deny permission
for a cable television system to carry
their signals. This right is renewable
