RULES:
1.1. TheregattawillbegovernedbythecurrentRacingRulesofSailing,theprescriptionsofUSSAILING,theISSA
ProceduralRules,theNESSAProceduralRules,thisNoticeofRace,andtheSailingInstructions.
1.2. InaccordancewithRRS70.5(a),decisionsoftheprotestcommitteearefinal.USSAILING'spermissionhas
beengranted.
1.3. ISSAPR5.1(Conduct)shallbeineffectfortheentireregatta.
1.4. TheOrganizingAuthority(OA)istheNESSAinconjunctionwiththehosts.
1.5. ISSAPR2.5(Pinnies)isineffect.
2.
ELIGIBILITY:
2.1. Competing schools must be members of ISSA & NESSA and meet ISSA eligibility rules as prescribed in the
ProceduralRules,PartIII1,and5.2beforecompletingtheregistrationprocess.

ENTRYPROCEDURES:
3.1. Schoolswishingtocompetemustcompletetheon-lineregistrationformintheregistrationwindow.

3.3. Registrationwindowclosesat2359onApril1,2016
3.4. Schoolsmayselecttheirchoice(s)forqualifyingvenues.Qualifyingvenueswillbe:
• TaborAcademy(Z420s)onSundayApril17,2016
• DuxburyBayMaritimeSchool(Z420s)onSaturdayApril23,2016
• IndianHarborYachtClub(C420s)onSundayMay1,2016
3.5. Schoolsmayregisterformorethanonequalifysite.
3.6. If there is a wait-list at one site, schools that have already qualified may be shifted out to make room for
schoolsthathavenotqualifiedatthediscretionoftheNESSAEventChair

ENTRY FEE: The entry fee is $20 per school/qualifying site payable upon registration. There will be no
refunds

1600-NofirstwarningforanyADivisionracemaystartafterthistime,,exceptiftheregattaisnot
“official”yet,inaccordancewiththeISSAPRinwhichcase,racingcancontinueuntiltheregatta
isofficial.Trophypresentationshortlyafterlastrace
6.2. Changestotheschedulewillbepostedontheofficialnoticeboardwhoselocationwillbeannouncedatthe
sailorsmeeting.

RACING AREA: The racing area(s) will bedescribed at the sailors meeting, but ingeneral,willbe the area
directlyinfrontofeachfacility.
COURSES:Basedonconditions,theRaceCommitteewilldeterminethecoursesasprescribedinISSAPR7.7.
SCORING:TheregattawillbescoredinaccordancewithISSAProceduralRules.
COACHING:
Teamleaders,chaperones,coaches,parents,advisorsandothersupportpersonnelshallnotgoafloatinthe
sailingareafromthetimetheyarriveattheregattasiteuntiltheregattaisdoneunlessexplicitlypermitted
bytheregattachair.Thepenaltyforfailingtocomplywiththisrequirementmaybethedisqualificationofall
boats,competitorsandteamsassociatedwiththeinfringingsupportpersonnel.
10.2. ISSAPR8definesothercoachinglimitationsandobligations.
11. PRIZES:Prizeswillbeawardedtoschoolsplacing1st,2nd,3rdand4thinthefinals.
12. RIGHTSTOUSENAMEANDLIKENESS:
By participating in this event, competitors automatically grant to the Organizing Authority and the event
sponsors the right, in perpetuity, to make, use and show, at their discretion, any photography, audio and
videorecordings,andotherreproductionsofthemmadeatthevenueoronthewaterfromthetimeoftheir
arrivalatthevenue,untiltheirfinaldeparture,withoutcompensation.
13. WAIVEROFLIABILITY:
13.1. Sailing is an activity that has an inherent risk of damage and injury. Competitors in this event are
participatingentirelyattheirownrisk.SeeRRS4,DecisiontoRace.
13.2. The race organizers (organizing authority, race committee, protest committee, host club, sponsors, or any
otherorganizationorofficial)willnotberesponsiblefordamagetoanyboatorotherpropertyortheinjury
toanycompetitor,includingdeath,sustainedasaresultofparticipationinthisevent.Byparticipatinginthis
event,eachcompetitoragreestoreleasetheraceorganizersfromanyandallliabilityassociatedwithsuch
competitor’sparticipationinthiseventtothefullestextentpermittedbylaw.
