It should be noted that Vy has accomplished these regional and national winnings at only two national competitions and a handful of regional competitions with his amateur owner achieving all of his performance wins, as well as a majority of his in-hand wins. Vy has earned the Arabian Horse Association’s highest honor, the Legion of Masters, in only four seasons of showing, and has been named the United States Equestrian Federation National Reserve Champion Horse of the Year for Arabian First Level Amateur Dressage, as well as the United States Dressage Federation National Champion & National Reserve Champion, respectively, for All-Breeds’ Arabian First Level Adult Amateur Dressage & Open Dressage. He has also competed successfully against all breeds at training and first levels at open dressage shows. Vy’s offspring have proven their athleticism, versatility, with willing dispositions both in and out of the show ring as they have won multiple regional championships in sport horse in-hand on the Arabian circuit, competed against all breeds garnering numerous wins in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes at prestigious open competitions, including Dressage at Devon, and successfully trained for and competitively completed multiple 50-mile endurance rides. While Vy has not been campaigned by his amateur owner, Jo Butterworth Devine, as of late due only to changes in her family and career obligations, he has maintained a relationship with his professional trainer, Virginia Godwin, of Chesapeake Training Center, Ltd.
