Message from the PTA President
As we head into
our winter vacation, you’ll be happy to know you’ll
have the 20142015 student directory in hand to
arrange play times
with friends over
those two weeks!
And I want to take
a moment to
thank again all the
volunteers and
bakers we had for
the craft fair, as
well as the high
participation of
our Kokanee
community members (volunteers,
staff and students) who received a free
booth. Thank
you!
As we head into
the New Year,
please consider
giving more of your time to
the PTA: we have our annual Focus Day (more information is below) on January 19 and this early spring,
we’ll start our nominating
process for next school
year’s PTA Executive Team.
I have loved these two
years as Kokanee PTA President and I highly encourage
you to consider joining this
amazing group of parents.
Have a happy holiday!
—Tracy Miller, PTA President
Two Things YOU Can Do To Make a Difference!
Annual Advocacy Postcard Drive
Have something to say to your legislators or school board members, but don't have
the time to attend meetings or mail them multiple times? Let the Kokanee PTA Advocacy Team pass your voice directly to your legislators and school board members. Go to www.KokaneePTA.com and click on Focus Day to fill out an electronic
postcard. It is a very powerful message to hand deliver hundreds of post cards to a
legislator on Focus Day. Speak to any issue you like, but please take this opportunity to have your voice heard. Postcards for the school board will be delivered at a
school board meeting in February 2015 after the draft boundary changes have been
proposed.
