The Østraadt Rør group is the leading manufacturer and supplier in southern Norway

Concrete fleximat mattresses
Østraadt Rør AS’ Concrete fleximat is manufactured with a max. quality concrete moulded
in block matress with, depending on its dimensions, a Danline 14 or 22mm UV stabilised
rope. Primarily used on subsea installations it is designed with a brick pattern matrix and
offers a high degree of flexibility permitting it to follow the contours of the pipeline,
umbilical and seabed.
Stabilisation
Pipelines need to be stabilised from the forces induced on them by a combination
of their self weight, any contained products and by the environmental (usually
hydrodynamic) forces acting on them induced by wave, current and storm
conditions.
Scour
Tides and currents cause erosion of the seabed and can also cause considerable
damage to coastal areas. This phenomenon is known as scour.
With offshore installations placed on sandy seabeds the accelerating currents and
increased turbulence can result in deep scour holes which might endanger the
stability of the structure. To prevent this, scour protection measures need to be
applied in order to avoid loss of stability of foundations and subsea structures.
Protection
Pipelines, flowlines, structures, instruments, valves and other features of subsea
production equipment need protection from a variety of hazards such as vertically
dropped objects which may fall from a platform, crane or drilling vessel, or from
other hazards such as fishing or aqua culture.
