branch prototype, brand strategy and
translated the brand into a national
award-winning branch prototype.

This prototype branch holds the service capacity of the last branch built
and does it in only 2,800 square feet of space - a 48% reduction with no
sacrifice by the members.
Not only is this branch almost twice as efficient on a site half the size, but
it includes adjacent lease space.

Golden Plains was growing and needed to know that a new facilities would accommodate
their membership growth and longer-term space needs.
Their goal was to gain greater efficiencies, improve member service, and enhance employee
well-being.

The new flagship branch will meet Golden Plains' needs to serve
increasing member growth

Fibre was looking for a long-term operations strategy that was based in community and sustainability.
Member resources needed to be spent with great care to prove their dedication to the growth of the
credit union, as well as their hometown, along with delivering high value to its membership.

Branch Optimization Strategy
The main branch was connected with
a direct walkway to the headquarters,
allowing operations staff to have “next
door” access. Each branch's unique
element was tied into a hyper-local
neighborhood or town, reinforcing
Fibre’s community-centered identity.

Branch Prototype
Each new location was developed using
the HAPO branch prototype as a model,
encouraging direct connection between
members and employees through
unique design touches like universal
associates and transaction pods.

Branch Prototype
Over the last five years, NIHFCU has
undergone several significant changes,
including a charter change, a rebranding
effort, and updated facilities.
After the creation of the initial
prototype, Momentum applied the new
design, logo and retail merchandising to
a 2,500 square foot cutting-edge
prototype branch at 2200 Pennsylvania
Avenue in Washington, D.C.

Merchandising Prototype
A merchandising prototype was
developed in parallel with the branch
prototype that could be leveraged
across new and existing branches.
Through strategic branch planning,
Campus Federal was able to act quickly
and have a tangible vision and
consistent approach to branching by
expanding to a total of seven locations
in three cities.

By partnering with Momentum, 3Rivers became the first credit union in the state of Indiana,
and the first financial institution in Fort Wayne, to achieve LEED® certification for a
financial facility.

Branch Prototype
3Rivers needed to increase market
penetration and staff performance, so
Momentum provided a prototype
foundation for the branch business
model.
This transformational retail branch
vision drove cultural change at the
home office branch and most
importantly, was easily translated to
their other branch locations.
Momentum worked closely with 3Rivers
to develop a branch prototype and
applied it to four additional branches.

Branch Prototype
Momentum developed a branch design
that leveraged the credit union’s brand
by using more modern merchandising
elements to communicate their message
and create a branch environments that
engage members more effectively.
All the while, Momentum ensured the
core attributes of Rocky Mountain Credit
Union’s brand remained consistent with
its other branches.

Momentum was tasked to create a branch prototype
in 1,887 square feet of space which is significantly
smaller than the traditional branch model.
The location was perfect, but the size of the space
was challenging, so operational functionality was
essential.

Mini-Branch Retail Environment
Two teller pods were implemented
with privacy panes between each space
for ease-of-use.
State-of-the-art technology was
implemented, including an interactive
kiosk, iPads for mobile use, and a
print on demand station.

Glass walls were implemented
between all of the offices, in order to
create the illusion of space, and core
value messages were integrated
throughout.

All of this translates to a branch space that utilizes a small
footprint to create a positive member experience using a
balance of technology, personalized service, and effective
design.
