The Last Chance Public Radio Association exists to ensure quality public radio listening opportunities in the Helena area. LCPRA provides volunteer and financial support to maintain translators on Hogback Mountain, broadcasting the signals of Yellowstone Public Radio (KEMC) from Billings, and KGLT – Alternative Public Radio from Bozeman. LCPRA originally provided translators for Montana Public Radio (KUFM) from Missoula, and continues to provide the station financial and volunteer support. Again this fall, generous local and Montana merchants, artists, and listeners are donating items for our silent auction. Auction items include pottery, paintings, massage sessions, aromatherapy, indoor and outdoor recreation items, gift baskets, books, public radio shirts, hats, and mugs – and our usual dizzying array of gift certificates from local restaurants and establishments, professional services, and more. If you have something special you’d like to donate, contact Dawn North at 443-4284. The WMDs will stir the evening’s air with a lively medley of folk, old-time country blues, and…only they know – quality music not to be missed! Enjoy tasty food and dessert from the Staggering Ox, Mediterranean Grill, Chili O’Brien’s, and the Big Dipper, complementary with admission. Local craft beers from Helena’s Blackfoot River and Lewis & Clark Brewing Companies, and a variety of wines from the Pan Handler, will also be available at the no host bar; non-alcoholic beverages will also be available. Come and help celebrate another exceptional year of public radio in Helena at the Last Chance Public Radio Association’s 25th Annual Fall Auction, Saturday November 23rd, at the Staggering Ox. Admission is $15 for individuals and $25 for couples. Help us keep Helena a Public Radio Paradise The Last Chance Public Radio Association is pleased to send you this newsletter with no obligation.
