THE NO. 1 FOR YOUR
BUSINESS SUCCESS
Dear exhibitors,
Once again in 2016, the IPM ESSEN proved that it is the most important platform for the international green sector:
1,587 exhibitors from 49 countries presented their products and services in the fields of plants, technology, floristry
and garden features to 57,200 trade visitors from 103 nations. 76 new plant varieties were presented in the
Innovation Showcase, a new record, demonstrating the enormous innovative strength in the sector.
IPM ESSEN presents key themes in the industry, in a tangible, comprehensible and – something that is very important
to us – marketable way for your business. Important momentum is created at IPM ESSEN at the beginning of the year.
No other trade fair manages to bring together your industry’s stakeholders so precisely and efficiently.
Join us in looking forward to innovations, trends and personal discussions at IPM ESSEN 2017.

June 2016
2 May 2016 marked the start of
MESSE ESSEN’s remodelling into one
of the most technically state-of-the-art
exhibition centres in Germany. We are
creating a new sense of well-being on the
exhibition grounds with open, functional
architecture. Short distances, eight
large-scale, single-storey halls and
lots of daylight will provide the ideal
exhibition conditions. During the first
development phase, temporary halls 13
and 14, along with the Grugahalle, which
is directly connected to them, will be
available for the IPM ESSEN 2017. From
the east, visitors can enter the trade fair
in hall 14 directly through the foyer. Clear
routing is guaranteed from there, with direct
connections to the other exhibition halls.
Thank you for the compliments: Exhibitors at the IPM ESSEN 2016
“Our appearance at the fair was a total success. The companies
which have participated in USA’s national pavilion are drawing a
very positive response and are now already looking forward to a
continuation in 2017. For us all, IPM ESSEN was very productive
and a fantastic experience.”
John Hammond, International Marketing Specialist, North Carolina
Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
“For over 20 years, IPM ESSEN has been a permanent fixture in our
annual calendar and an ideal meeting place in order to enter into
discussions with partners and to experience the latest trends. This
year, as well, we felt that the mood was very positive. (…) We are
enthusiastic about the many interested visitors and up-and-coming
florists who have dropped in on us.”
Melanie Schindler, PR and Event Manager, Fleurop AG
