Sharing the Bread and Cup
Come, Share the Lord
Chancel Choir
All who seek a relationship with Christ are invited to come forward to share this spiritual feast.
In preparation, examine your faith life, asking God to open your heart to those actions which,
through the work of the Holy Spirit, will deepen your intimacy with Christ. Please take a piece of
bread from the plate and dip it into the cup, partaking immediately. Gluten free bread has crusts
attached. The cup contains unfermented grape juice. An appropriate response to the Elder’s
words as you receive the elements is "Amen" which means, "Let it be so." Using one loaf and
cup symbolizes our unity in Christ. If coming forward is difficult, you will have the opportunity
to be served in the pew. All ages are invited to the table, for none of us fully understand this gift
of spiritual nourishment that we have been given. The elders will be taking the elements to the
Sunday School and Nursery. The Pastor will be available at the antique communion table for
those who wish a personal moment of prayer.

The Bond of Love
Hymnal #395
We are one in the bond of love;
We are one in the bond of love.
We have joined our spirits with the Spirit of God;
We are one in the bond of love.
O Morning Star
EMERGENCY SHELTER NEEDS. Our winter shelter is busy and will need the following
items through the winter weather: Soups that can be both microwaved and eaten in their
own containers; packets of instant oatmeal (they can be but do not need to be in own
containers); microwave popcorn. Also, any twin bed sheets (flat only, not fitted.) They do
not have to be brand new. These are items we can share equally with our guests. See the
antique communion table for information about our guests.
IF YOU DID NOT RECEIVE A 2016 SPIRITUAL STAR, they are available on the antique
communion table. You may also want to take a “Star Information” sheet with
suggestions on considering the meaning of your star word.
OUR ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE FOLLOWING OUR
10:00 AM WORSHIP ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21ST. Lunch will be served and three
at large members of the Congregational Nomination Committee will be elected. Our
annual report will be available Sunday, February 14th. After our “meeting” part of
the gathering we will then have our annual COUNTRY COOKING AUCTION!
Proceeds from the auction will support our outreach ministries. Join us to celebrate
2015, to look forward to 2016.
Let us sing now, ev'ry one;
Let us feel his love begun.
Let us join our hands, that the world will know;
We are one in the bond of love.
