The event, initiated in 2000 by Ragatz Associates’ founder Richard Ragatz, was the first conference of its kind, focusing solely on the resort development industry. The annual conference continues to be the ideal forum to gain first-hand knowledge about influences affecting the fractional industry, as well as the latest trends, news, and research findings about the state of fractional real estate. The three-day event will feature presentations, interactive breakout sessions, and panel discussions covering development, marketing, sales, financing, design, legal issues, and operations of fractional interest resorts, private residence clubs, and destination clubs. Speakers will include representatives from The Registry Collection® program, Fairmont, Starwood, Ritz Carlton, Hyatt, and ARDA, among others. A premier property in The Registry Collection® portfolio, The Residence Club at Pronghorn is an unforgettable retreat. Boasting world-class golf, five-star amenities, and spectacular scenery, Pronghorn is consistently rated among the finest new communities in the West. Each residence borders Pronghorn’s Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course — currently voted #4 Best New Private Course in the U.S. by Golf Digest. Designed with authentic stone and timber architecture, the spacious three- and four- bedroom villas offer more than 2,000 square feet of sumptuous space — loaded with luxurious furnishings, high-end appliances and electronics, and even a private garage. Both Pronghorn owners and guests of The Registry Collection® program rave about the resort’s impressive amenities — including the recently opened 55,000-square foot Clubhouse at Pronghorn with its award-winning, five-star restaurant, Chanterelle. The Spa at Pronghorn, one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest, provides guests with full-service spa and salon treatments, wellness programs, fitness facility access, and personal training. Tennis and swimming facilities, along with Camp Pronghorn, the children’s recreational play area, complete the resort’s well-rounded amenities. For memorable outdoor recreation, Pronghorn Adventures provides fun and exciting excursions for guests of all ages. River rafting, horseback riding, fishing, and hiking are among the many pursuits that can be arranged by the Pronghorn concierge staff. The nearby town of Bend, known as the hottest destination in the New West, provides resort guests with easy access to designer boutiques, gourmet restaurants, and quaint galleries. And for skiing enthusiasts, the Mt. Batchelor ski resort is only a short distance outside of town. Karen Morris, Director of Operations at Pronghorn, believes their owners have truly enjoyed the benefits offered by The Registry Collection® program. “Worldwide access to the finest vacation properties and services has provided our owner base with a valuable alternative to visiting their own resort.” With all of this and more to offer, it’s no wonder The Residence Club at Pronghorn has become one of the most popular resort destinations within The Registry Collection® portfolio. For more information, please contact your Account Specialist or visit the resort’s Web site: www.pronghornclub.com. 2 Featured Partner: Cirque du Soleil® T he Registry Collection® program has entered into an official sponsorship relationship with Cirque du Soleil that allows members of the program to go behind the scenes at two visually stunning Cirque du Soleil traveling shows — Corteo™ and KOOZA™. “Our members of The Registry Collection® program expect nothing less than the very best,” said Gordon Gurnik, executive vice president, business development and inventory relations, Group RCI®. “That’s why we are extremely pleased that through our alliance with Cirque du Soleil, we’re able to offer exceptional experiences that are normally not made available to the general public to two truly world-class entertainment shows.” Each show takes its audience on a fun-filled, acrobatic journey. KOOZA™ is a return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil, combining traditional circus arts, including acrobatics and the art of clowning, to highlight the physical demands of human performance. Corteo offers an intimate look into a clown’s imagined funeral procession that takes place in a carnivallike atmosphere and entertains the audience through fun, comedy, and spontaneity. With this sponsorship, members are offered two incredible package options for either show. The Premiere Night Experience will make members feel what it’s like to be a celebrity with full VIP treatment. It includes the best seats in the venue; an invitation to the Exclusive Premiere Night cocktail party; fine food, wine, and multimedia entertainment in the VIP tent; and the chance to mingle with the cast. The Behind-the-Scenes Experience allows guests to enter the private world of the artists with a backstage tour. In addition to some of the best seats in the venue and fine food, wine, and multimedia entertainment in the VIP tent, members will also receive an exclusive backstage tour of the concession tents, the artistic tent, the Grand Chapiteau, and the artists’ kitchen, as well as a memorable lunch or dinner in the artists’ kitchen. “Cirque du Soleil has brought wonder and delight to more than 70 million spectators around the world,” said Gregg Anderson, vice president, global product management, The Registry Collection® program. “These are both truly unique opportunities for members and will only further enhance the luxury experience they enjoy as members of The Registry Collection® program.” For members to book either of these experiences, they simply need to exchange their existing credits or deposit an interval of their vacation time by calling a Reservation Consultant at 800-548-2300. Unlimited Opportunity.SM Member Testimonial: Mr. Doug Scott Keeping members happy is among the most important goals for The Registry Collection® program! Thankfully, that goal is accomplished often and with great success. Doug Scott, a member of The Registry Collection® program since October 2005, has frequently communicated his satisfaction to the Member Services team. Scott, an owner at Tradewinds Cruise Club, Bequia — The Grenadines, has exchanged successfully and often to other affiliate locations. During a recent trip to The Whiteface Lodge, a premier property in The Registry Collection® program located in Lake Placid, New York, Scott raved about the resort and the activities his family enjoyed there. In addition he shared his feelings about the many benefits of The Registry Collection® program. “Fractional ownership is the wave of the future when it comes to vacation homes,” Scott noted, “and it’s further enhanced by our membership with The Registry Collection® program. Where else can we have exchange access to such world class properties?” Scott summed up his feelings by adding, “It’s like owning a dream home without all the hassles. And the best part — it allows us to maintain a tradition for our family to create memories that will last a lifetime.” If your resort knows of a happy owner who has enjoyed his or her travels and experiences with The Registry Collection® program, please contact us and we’ll publish the story in a future edition of The Registry Review! Why are there member deposit timelines — and can exceptions be made? A: The Registry Collection® program encourages members to deposit early to provide us with maximum opportunity to promote their inventory to other members. Member deposits are accepted as early as 365 days and as late as 90 days in advance of the week’s start date. Exceptions for less-than-90-day deposits are handled case by case and are based upon member wait list requests. Please contact your Account Specialist with any questions. Q: Does The Registry Collection® solicit a member’s feedback after they exchange to an affiliated resort? A: Yes! During recent months, The Registry Collection® program has been beta-testing a Comment Card Web site that generates an electronic request to members after they complete an exchange. The future reports will cover feedback on Member Services’ knowledge and assistance, as well as ratings on the resorts, including the check-in & -out process, amenities, accommodations, and other categories. Our goal is to make this Web site accessible to affiliates later in 2008. Meanwhile, resorts are welcome to contact their Account Executive and request an overview of current feedback.
