Fourth Quarter 2008 - The Registry Collection
The Registry Insider Fourth Quarter, 2008 Manager’s Message All of us at The Registry Collection hope you and your family had an enjoyable summer and took time to explore a new destination, reconnect with loved ones or immerse yourself in your favorite hobby or pastime. Many of our member families did just that at one of our many affiliated resorts. If you had a particularly memorable experience, send it along, we’d love to hear about it. We are constantly striving to improve our communication so that you can take full advantage of your membership. After launching our first member newsletter we received a number of great comments and suggestions from our members, and we are working to incorporate many of those suggestions into future newsletters and on our website. And speaking of our site, thank you for your feedback on our new interactive map feature and portfolio listing section. We are making a number of other upgrades, which we will share with you later in this newsletter. Also in this edition, we’ll unveil an incredible partner opportunity for you golf fanatics and introduce you to one of our newest affiliates nestled amongst the beauty of America’s Smoky Mountains. In our Q&A section you’ll learn how to connect to our newest luxury Collection Partners, including the opportunity to receive specially negotiated rental rates at hundreds of unique properties with European Villas and Manors. We’ve highlighted a few of the many properties currently available for exchange and urge you take some time to consider where you’d like your next vacation to be. But in order for you to take advantage of these great exchange opportunities you need to deposit an interval of your ownership into The Registry Collection program. I’d like to take just a moment to share with you why it is so important to have our members deposit in advance of searching for exchange opportunities. Often times we hear that there does not seem to be enough exchange choices for our members. And while we may have 3000 or more weeks available at any one time, we understand it is not always at your first choice destination. Working together we can begin to open up more choice opportunities but, we need your help. In order for there to be inventory for you to exchange into it has to be deposited by another member. If all members did not deposit their inventory at the beginning of their search, there wouldn’t be any inventory in the system to search and that wouldn’t make for a very satisfying trading environment. On the other hand, if all members deposited even one week of their time in advance of searching, we would have over 30,000 weeks of inventory from which our members would be able to choose from around the globe. Now that’s a robust program! And that one simple step of depositing in advance of searching makes all the difference. I would like to ask you to consider this exciting scenario and call a Reservation Consultant to deposit an interval of your time. Together we can create an even better exchange program for our member families. Have a wonderful Autumn. Member Testimonial Finding the right Collection Partners is one of the keys to a wonderful experience with The Registry Collection, and we strive for nothing but the best! In 2007, we partnered with Cirque du Soleil to bring the shows KOOZA and Corteo to our members. With their high flying acrobatics and gut busting humor, these Cirque du Soleil shows are entertaining our members like nothing before. If The Registry Collection member Barbara Somlo is any indication, you get more than just an incredible show... you get the full VIP treatment. “We had a terrific time at the behind-the-scenes experience at the KOOZA show! We ate with the artists, toured the backstage (we found the tiny onsite school for their 6 students to be especially fascinating), saw the costume department and the huge tent preparing for the show.” “Our seats were excellent, our guide wonderful, and a good time was had by all! I have attached a picture of me with my children, Stephen and Pia, in sunny Philadelphia in front of the big tent. Alex is behind the camera.” “Thank you to everyone at The Registry Collection!” -Barbara Somlo If you are a happy member of The Registry Collection program and have enjoyed your travels and experiences, please contact us and we’ll do out best to publish your story in a future edition of The Registry Insider! 4 Updates The Registry Collection web site is being enhanced to include the following new sections: “Did You Know” – This new section will provide members with up to the moment program news and information. “Testimonials” – This new section will give you the opportunity to share your vacation experiences with other members. “Coming Soon” section – As we continue to build upon our network of luxury leisure assets we invite you to visit this new section. “Member Travel Preferences” – In order to offer you the best vacation experiences, we would like to learn more about your preferences through our convenient member travel form.
