In 1966, what was then “Ellenville Public Library” applied to New York State to change its existing charter; Ellenville Public Library and Museum was created, reflecting the institution’s commitment to our community’s history. A Museum Advisory Board (MAB) was subsequently created by the Board of Trustees. MAB is charged with advising the library board and director on matters relating to museum operation, such as collection management, hours and services. MAB is composed of four community members, as well as a liaison from the Board of Trustees. We hope that you’ll join us throughout 2016 as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our museum with “Making History” a series of special events and programs.
