Ebb Scrooge
is a modern
businessman,
a cold fish with
a cold heart
until one fateful
Christmas Eve
when his past,
present and
future come
calling. Seeing himself as others see
him is a powerful antidote to his
curmudgeonly ways, and by the end
of the night, he’ll have a new outlook
on the meaning of the Holiday.
Ichabod Crane is the
new schoolmaster in
town, but his snooty
cosmopolitan ways rub
some of the residents
of Sleepy Hollow the
wrong way. To get rid
of him, the villagers will
make sure that “Icky”
meets their local legend
– The Headless Horseman of Sleepy
Hollow!
This adaptation is a great all-school
show, blending the silly and the
spooky, with lots of interactivity
for your students, including a live
spelling bee! Always popular with
summer camps, libraries, and school
Halloween assemblies - call for your
dates today!

When the Nazis invaded Denmark in the 1940s, Jewish families were generally left alone,
unlike other parts of western Europe. But all of that changed in 1943, and when the call went
out to round up Denmark’s Jewish families, thousands of non-Jewish Danes worked together to smuggle their Jewish friends and neighbors across the water to neutral Sweden, and
safety.
That true series of events forms the basis of NUMBER THE STARS, Lois Lowry’s
popular book for late-elementary and
middle-school readers. Annemarie
Johannsen’s family lives in Copenhagen,
downstairs from her best friend, Ellen
Rosen. When the call-up for Ellen’s family
goes out, Annemarie’s family springs into
action, spiriting Ellen away to the shore, in
preparation for the journey across the sea.
But before they get that far, Annemarie will
have to step into the fray, and put her own
life at risk for the sake of saving her friend.

Girls rule as this all-female cast puts
classic stories through the contemporary
wringer, and finds every laugh in these
truly wacky tales. Stories include JACK
AND THE BEANSTALK, THE FISHERMAN’S WIFE, and THE TORTOISE AND
THE HARE, among others.
There are both “younger” (K-4) and
“older” (3rd-8th) versions of the show.
If you book the older version, we swap
out some simpler stories for a brand new
version of CINDERELLA that blends the
German, French and the original Chinese
versions of the story into one multi-cultural
mash-up. There’s a talking fish instead of a
Fairy Godmother. Yes. Really.
This is a great all-ages show, perfect for K-8
schools, family events, libraries and civic
centers.

THERE’S A CROCODILE IN THE BATHTUB!
But don’t worry - he’s just there temporarily, and what’s more, he’s Lyle, the friendliest crocodile
ever. Lyle becomes good friends with the folks in the building, except for Mr. Grumps, who hates
Lyle, parades, people, and pretty much everything except for his cat.
But when Lyle rescues Mr. Grumps and his cat Loretta from a fire, Mr.
Grumps has to apologize for the way he’s treated Lyle. In the end,
Lyle helps those around him learn that they should not judge other
by how different they appear to be, but to love people (and crocodiles) for what they are!

Take the classics in Greek mythology, put them in a blender, add a lot
of wacky props, and you get one of the most entertaining hours your
students will ever see.
Two battling narrators attempt to
cover the entirety of Greek mythology using general theatrical
insanity. Creation myths such as
Pandora’s Box and Cronos and
the Titans jostle for space with
Jason and the Argonauts (the
original Super Friends). Culminating in a heart-pounding, five-minute, two-actor version of The Iliad.
This fast-paced, free-wheeling play is wild, silly, and a perfect addition to your school’s mythology unit.

Set at the apex of Julius Caesar’s power in
Rome, JULIUS CAESAR traces the path of the
conspirators against Caesar, led by a jealous
Cassius and a well-intended, if naive, Brutus.
Their murderous actions against Caesar, which
they meant to preserve the Roman Republic,
instead open the door to Marc Antony and
Octavius Caesar, two of the leaders of what will
become the new Roman Empire.
Inspired by Orson Welles’ 1937 modern-dress
staging for The Mercury Theatre, this fastpaced version of CAESAR is intended for
middle school and high school audiences,
presenting the conflicted Brutus as the central
character, a prototypical Shakespeare figure
that paved the way, within a few years, to the
creation of Hamlet and Macbeth.
JULIUS CAESAR will be available at locations
throughout Chicagoland, and is available to
tour to your school (auditorium with lighting
system required).
Appropriate for: 6th thru 12th grades
Curriculum Tie-in: Language Arts, Shakespeare unit
Study Guide : available, spring 2017
Orson Welles’ modern-dress 1937 production of Caesar is considered a milestone
in American theatre history, placing the
play’s action in the context of the rise of
European fascism.

The story of Chicago as told
Anne Frank’s story of
hope in the face of evil is
celebrated by a multi-ethnic cast of young people,
each of whom have had
their own experiences
with ethnic cleansing, and
survived their ordeals by
embracing Anne’s philosophy of “thinking themselves
out” of their situations.
The on-stage characters who portray the figures in Anne’s
diary come from a variety of eras and conflicts. They
include survivors of the Armenian genocide in 1915, the
Bosnian civil war of the 1990s, the and the ethnic cleansing in Rwanda. Together, they emphasize that Anne Frank’s
family was one of many families throughout history who
suffered the ignorance and hatred of mobs, putting the
Frank’s World War II experience into an
even larger historical context.
