RYAN JACKSON If you’ve been following our going green tips you will find that most are very easy to do, and take little effort to remember. Turn off the lights in a room you don’t use often, don’t use water bottles but instead drink tap water out of a glass not a paper cup, turn off printers and computers when you’re not using them, etc. This month’s tip is as easy: pack a waste free lunch. This means using a reusable lunch box or bag, storing sandwiches and chips in reusable containers, and instead of a plastic container of yogurt, throw in some real strawberries or blueberries! This will make for a happy, healthy, and waste free lunch. Newsletter Disclaimer Gonstead Family Chiropractic BILL KAPP Action Auto Service, Inc. Isaac, also works as a part-time supervisor at UPS and at the Southside Thorne’s got into ballooning after becoming a clown through the Scottish Rite Masonic organization. Isaac Grove of InKrEdibleIKE balloon art, is pictured above with a life-size lawnmower balloon he created. In need of a unique “clown” skill he learned how to tie balloon animals. Isaac explains “I quickly became infatuated with balloon art and learned that there is a lot more than just a simple balloon dog or a giraffe. I set off to learn as much as I could and found that there is a whole other world when it comes to balloon art. There are conventions where people go to have competitions with the elaborate things they have made.” Ballooning has provided Isaac with the opportunity to talk to people all over the world about balloons on forums and phone conversations over the Internet. ChamberChoice HR Tip of the Month Isaac adds “I have since focused on being a balloon artist rather than being a clown. I have not given up clowning completely, but I now only do it for special occasions. I plan continue to grow my balloon business and add new things. Not just balloon art but arches, columns, etc., while adding balloon sculptures into the mix making every occasion special.” To see more of Isaac’s work visit his website at www.InKrEdibleIKE.weebly.com If you’d like to add a special touch to your next event or want to send a fun and unusual gift contact Isaac by phone at (814) 758-1347 or email inkredibleike@yahoo.com Venango Area Chamber of Commerce ● (814) 676-8521 ● www.venangochamber.org 11 Ultra-Graph-X opens a new location in Oil City Joe Lockhart is the owner and manager of Ultra-Graph-X, your local source for Vinyl Graphics and Screen Printing.
