Required Reading
Summer 2016
While summer reading is important in continuing a
student’s academic progress and as well as aids in
their success in school, it should also be a time for families to
foster and nurture a lifelong love of reading. St. Anne Catholic School students who are entering 3rd through 8th grades
will enjoy going on many adventures in the pages of the required summer reading book selections. Students
are required to choose and read one book from the
list for the grade level they will enter in the fall. If a
series is listed, a student only needs to read one in that series.
Though students are not required to read all of the selections
listed for their grade, they are highly encouraged to do so.
Some form of assessment will be done during the first two
weeks of school. No book projects are assigned for completion over the summer with the exception of Happy Reading!

for chairing
FIELD DAY!
Because of your dedication and hard work, field day was a success for the kiddos
and our school community.
THANK YOU also to the countless parents and student volunteers who helped with field
day. This major event would
not take place without your
participation and help!
THANK YOU
Monica Broussard, Mitzi Burns, and Ellen Phelan for chairing the
5th/6th grade kickball tournament!
It was loads of fun
for students and
parents, and we
thank you for
making this a
great end-of-theyear event!
THANK YOU
to all our parents, grandparents, faith-filled friends, teachers,
and school administrators for sharing your HEARTS! This year
you all made HSA such a success for our students and school.
Your TIME, TALENT & TREASURE that you gave to our students &
