SIXTH SUNDAY in ORDINARY TIME SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2015 7:30 a.m. Jim Robinson 9:00 a.m. Kenneth Farragut, Jr. 10:30 a.m Joseph McElwee 12:00 p.m. Charles Wright Lent….a time of Prayer Do you ever have days that become so busy that at the end of the day you realize you never stopped to eat? What about days that are cluttered with so many “things to do” that a quiet moment to rest isn’t possible? Are there days when you may say to yourself, “where has the day gone?” I think most of us have had days, maybe even weeks like that. This Wednesday, we begin the beautiful season of Lent. Throughout this season we are invited to reflect upon the suffering and death of Jesus, to examine our own lives and to ask for the grace to walk more closely with Christ. Yet, just because it is Lent, the demands of life; responsibilities, commitments, and obligations don’t change. So it is up to us to make some changes; to ensure that in the midst of life’s demand we have time (and energy) to spend with the Lord. We can only experience the grace and blessings of this season when we allow ourselves the opportunity to be refreshed and renewed. 6:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2015 Jim Robinson Tellie Stottlemyer 6:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2015 For the Parish Rudy & Fred Cola 6:30 a.m. 9:00 a.m. 12:10 pm 7:00 pm WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2015 ASH WEDNESDAY John DePaolantonio Rita E. Likewise, in preparation for the Ordinary Synod of Bishops in October 2015, the Office for the Synod of Bishops has once again invited consultation of the clergy and faithful on the theme of the upcoming council: The Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and Contemporary World. Archbishop Charles J. Chaput O.F.M. Cap. has authorized the use of an Internet-based instrument for local participation in this consultation in the broadest possible manner. This instrument is not a poll or a survey on Church teaching. Rather, it represents a unique opportunity for the clergy and faithful of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to reflect and respond thoughtfully on serious challenges to family life and to marriage. Responses to the questions posed by the Vatican will be integrated into a general report by the Archbishop to help with the preparation for the 2015 Synod of Bishops, which will reflect on the Church's teaching on family and marriage in the face of today's challenges. More information on the 2015 Synod of Bishops and the form to provide input to these questions can be found at www.archphila.org. COLLECTION REPORT Collection for February 8: $24,746 Total for month: $,65,351 Goal for February: $112,000 Percentage of goal met: 58% ! ^/yd,^hEz/EKZ/EZzd/D 7th Annual Men's Spirituality Conference March 7, 2015 Faith, Family and Fatherhood Enrich your faith - participate in this year's conference. Speakers include Dr. Scott Hahn, author of “Rome Sweet Home”, Gus Lloyd, Catholic radio host, Devin Schadt, from Catholic Answers, Marie Joseph, author of “Faith on Fire”, and Jim Longon, member of the Papal Foundation. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered. The Conference will conclude with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Charles Chaput.
