December brought us a lovely year-end social event with a holiday dinner at the
Grosse Pointe War Memorial. The chef did a nice presentation of an Alsatian-themed
dinner.
Early this month, we held our traditional family celebration, Galette des Rois, where we
viewed the age-appropriate French film, Le vieil homme et l’enfant (The Two of Us)
and sought to crown kings and queens by the serving of a galette and refreshments.
The movie was excellent and four Queens and one King were crowned! See pictures
on Page Two.
Our next event is the first of three wine tastings which will be held on January 21, April
8 and May 13. Space is limited so you will want to get your ticket soon! See flier.
We are looking forward to more editions in our Ciné-Club series. Ciné-Club events
will be held on February 7 and April 25. Look for more information in your mailbox.
Pictured below are Alliance members who were rewarded for their merits by the La
Fondation Alliance Française de Paris with La Médaille Paul Belmondo at the annual
Federation de Alliance Françaises USA held in Washington DC in October.
