Motul.Sport.News 33 Dos Sertões Rally / Goiania - Foz do Iguaçu Cristian Baumgart - Beco Andreotti / X Rally Team / Ford Ranger X Rally Team / NWM shines in Brazil The Dos Sertões Rally is an off-road rally organised in Brazil which has been won in the recent past by drivers of the calibre of Stéphane Peterhansel or Carlos Sainz, or riders such as Marc Coma or Cyril Despres. The 23rd edition finished on 8 August with a win in car class by Reinaldo Varela and Gustavo Gugelmin, who finished second last year. The South-African structure X Rally Team / NWM, supported technically by Motul, maintained pressure to the end to finally mount the second and third steps of the podium. The contenders of the biggest Brazilian rally had to cross 2900 kilometres across four States. The prologue and first two stages took place in Goias, then the route headed to the southern Mato Grosso and, after a leg through the State of Sao Paulo, the arrival was judged in Parañas, not far from Paraguay and Argentina. For instance, Forward Racing, which withdrew at Indy, pulled off a winning return in Open category thanks to Loris Baz.
