The Universal Card™ prepaid solution offers users a convenient way to stay in
touch with friends and family and makes managing satellite communications
simple.
Universal Card enables voice calls, messaging and web usage. Crew or team
members can make prepaid private calls, send prepaid emails, SMS messages
and access the web, while managers of large numbers of terminals benefit from
improved crew morale and complete cost control over private communications
with minimal administration and at no additional cost.

With our Universal Card, customers benefit from the simplicity of using a single
prepaid communications card for cost-effective voice, messaging and accessing
the web over VSAT, Inmarsat or Iridium. In addition, Universal Card credit allows
prepaid web usage via Thuraya IP.

Easy prepaid web usage
Simple administration & management
Enjoy prepaid web surfing with a few simple clicks:
• First time users, configure the terminal data ports for prepaid
usage.
• Start an internet session from your PC or laptop.
• Open your web browser; a PIN log-in page will
automatically be displayed.
• Enter your PIN to access the internet.
• Benefit from redirection to Mobile Link Collection for
cost-effective access to mobile versions of web sites (if
available).
• V iew Data Manager Live pop-up for info on credit
consumption.
Use Universal Card Manager, our online card management
system, available 24/7, featuring fully automatic processing of all
standard administration tasks like ordering and credit reloading.
You can also view card details, check credit levels, analyze call
detail records and monitor order history.
Update requests can be sent directly from the vessel and be
processed fully automatically.
Card expiration: unused cards expire 2 years after the date of
sale or 1 year after last reload. Used cards expire 1 year after first
use or after last reload.

Convenient email and SMS messaging
Combine the Universal Card with our SkyFile™ Mail – and benefit
from convenient prepaid messaging:
• Minimal administration: one card for phone and email
communications. Crew can create and administer their
prepaid sub-accounts.
• Flexibility: enable crew to configure their own prepaid
account according to their needs and budgets. Crew can
“carry” their individual SkyFile MyMail account from one
vessel to the next.
• No restriction in terms of volume or number of messages:
customers can set their own restrictions if required.
• Transparent cost: credit balance and remaining time are
updated in real time. Each user has access to their
individual call logs.
Call Blocker: give your crew the freedom to make private calls
without supervision. The device blocks all unauthorised postpaid
telephony and only connects prepaid calls.
Crew PC: this slim, stand-alone and completely preconfigured
computer provides your crew or other prepaid users with the
most cost-efficient web access experience by optimizing traffic
flow and avoiding any kind of unwanted background traffic. Benefit
from full control of your crew’s web usage and avoid unauthorized
installations made by crew members.

Simple 3-Step Call Procedure

Dial the short access code (66 in most set-ups).
Dial the confidential PIN code and press #.
Dial 00 + the country code + the phone number + # or press
# to redial the last number called. The voice server informs
the caller of the remaining calling time for the ongoing call (in
minutes and seconds).
