MAYOR’S CORNER
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10th and I would like to wish all
the mothers and grandmothers a wonderful day! Springvale
will be hosting a delicious brunch on Mother’s Day. Seatings
are at 10:30am or between 12:30 & 1pm. The Senior brunch is
only $18.95 for buffet including several choices of breakfast
and luncheon entrees, beverages and accompaniments.
Reservations are recommended (440)777-0678.
On Monday, May 25th at 10:30am, we will have a Memorial
Day parade and gathering at the Veterans Plaza at North
Olmsted Park. It is a great way to honor those who have gone
before us for our Nation. The Senior Center and City Hall will
be closed in observance.
On Friday, May 29th, the Senior Center will host a luncheon to
celebrate our residents who are 90 years of age and older. This
is a very special annual event at the Senior Center, and we
wish all of our honorees good health.

14th– Osteoporosis—What is a
T-Score? Pam Lanter, Director of
Rehabilitation Services at St.
John’s will explain T-Scores for
Osteoporosis and offer tips on how
to improve your bone density. Be sure to get
your T-score before the lecture at the free bone
density screening from 9:00-11:00am in the
Atrium.

A special Mothers Day brunch will be offered at
Springvale Ballroom on Sunday, May 10th. There
will be two seating's offered, one at 10:30am and the
second at 12:30pm. Fresh and delicious breakfast
and luncheon menu items will be served. Cost is

Please be aware that each individual is responsible for making his / her
own lunch reservation. Due to a limited amount of lunches that will be
ordered, reservations will not be made over the phone. Sign-up is always
one week in advance as the reservations are called in to the caterer on
Thursdays at noon.
All persons 60 and older are welcome to join us for lunch. A registration form must be completed and can be obtained at the
front desk. Once this has been completed and is on file, you may
sign up for any lunches that you choose. Please contact the
center for more details! This program was made possible by a
Grant from the Ohio Department of Aging through the Western
Reserve Area Agency on Aging. Please acquire your lunch ticket
at the sign in desk and be in your seats no later than 11:30am.
