I hope everyone will enjoy the Labor Day Holiday
Monday, September 1st. North Olmsted City Hall and
other city offices, including the Senior Center, will be
closed in observance.
You can still take advantage of the fresh produce at the
Farmer Market in September. The market will be in
the North Olmsted Community Cabin every Tuesday
from 10:00am – 12:00pm.
Finally, the new school year is under way! Please
remember to watch out for our youth when driving and
watch your speed in school zones.
Have a safe and happy September!

Operation Christmas Stocking! Help support American Troops by donating requested
items for Christmas stockings to be sent
overseas. A local family is hoping, with your
help, to send 120 stuffed stockings to our
troops this year. All stockings are sent
through a non-profit organization called
Boatsie's Boxes, www.boatsie.com,. Please
look for the fliers and a drop off box at
North Olmsted Senior Center. Items can be
dropped off from Mon., Sept. 15 thru Fri.
Oct. 17. Items needed: first aid kits to-go,
travel size tissue packs, lip balm/chapstick,
everyday greeting cards, envelopes, Icy Hot

Please be aware that each individual is responsible for making his / her
own lunch reservation. Due to a limited amount of lunches that will be
ordered, reservations will not be made over the phone. Sign-up is always
one week in advance as the reservations are called in to the caterer on
Thursdays at noon.
All persons 60 and older are welcome to join us for lunch. A registration form must be completed and can be obtained at the
front desk. Once this has been completed and is on file, you may
sign up for any lunches that you choose. Please contact the
center for more details! This program was made possible by a
Grant from the Ohio Department of Aging through the Western
Reserve Area Agency on Aging. Please acquire your lunch ticket
at the sign in desk and be in your seats no later than 11:30am.
Please note that announcements
will begin at 11:35 or earlier, lunch
will be served shortly after. Please
refer to the entertainment page
for a schedule of movies and performers. All meals ordered must
be consumed on site. “Carry-Out”
lunches are not permitted.
The only exceptions are the following:
1. Individually wrapped cookies.
2. Individually wrapped bread.
3. Fresh Fruit (apple, orange etc.)
4. UNOPENED milk during the
winter months.

On trips that leave before 8:00 A.M., please note that the Center will not be open earlier than the
check-in time indicates. Also, please park in the LOWER parking lot for all trips!

The new Cleveland Rocksino is featuring matinee entertainment! You will arrive at the
Rocksino in Northfield at 11:00 am. At 1:00 pm you will be seated for "The Rat Pack"
Matinee show. When the show ends at 2:15 pm you will have an opportunity for more
casino time. We’ll depart from the Rocksino at 5:00 pm.

Enjoy an exciting fall tour of Mapleside Farms, voted America’s Most Beautiful farm by
chooseoutdoors.org. The afternoon starts with a delicious lunch (out of pocket) in the
Orchard House where you will be able to order off the menu. The adventure continues
with a guided hayride tour of the orchard including an educational lecture regarding apples, bees and pumpkins. The tour ends with cider and donuts in the apple production area. Before retuning home you will have time to shop at the gift store and Corbo’s Bakery.
